摘要： The invention relates to a method of transmitting packet data from a first subsystem to a wireless terminal device via the network node of a second subsystem. In the method, at least one filter is formed to guide mapping of at least one data flow of the first subsystem to at least one data flow of the second subsystem. At least one filter is attached to at least one data flow of the second subsystem. The filter comprises at least part of the interface identifier of the IP address, which at least part of the interface identifier is allocated in the wireless terminal device. Hereby, mapping of the data flow of the first subsystem to the data flow of the second subsystem is performed on the basis of the interface identifiers of the destination IP addresses in the received packets.

摘要： A method for a mobile station to acquire a IP network address from a gateway in GPRS system. First the mobile station generates a link identifier. Next the mobile requests a network address by sending a link identifier over a wireless to a gateway along with a request for the gateway to check to see if the link identifier is unique. Upon receiving the network address request the gateway checks to see if the link identifier is unique. The gateway responses by either confirming that the network link identifier is unique or by sending a different unique link identifier to the mobile station. The gateway also has the ability to respond by sending a network prefix to the mobile station. Upon receiving the network prefix the mobile station combines the network prefix with the interface identifier to generate a IP network address.

摘要： A method, system and network element for providing an address transition if a connection point at one end of a connection is changed from a first network node to a second network node of a cellular network is provided. An address information and at least one alternative address information are transmitted in a signaling message from the first network node to the second network node. One of the address information and the alternative address information is selected at the second network node and used for re-establishing the connection towards the other end of the connection. Thereby, the new point of connection is allowed to re-establish the connection towards the other end of the connection, even if it can only communicate using one of the two addresses. Furthermore, signaling messages, e.g. messages relating to charging, lawful interception, and/or customized applications, received from different network nodes can be correlated based on the alternative addresses.

摘要： The invention is directed to a communication network wherein a direct tunnel may be formed between a user equipment and a gateway support node, bypassing an intermediate serving support node. If, however, the gateway node should be outside of the actual communication network to which the user equipment is connected, a two-tunnel concept is used wherein a tunnel is provided between the user equipment and the serving support node. Likewise, when receiving a request for Lawful Interception, the tunnel formed between the user equipment and the gateway node is reconfigured to be directed to the serving node for guiding all user traffic and control signaling via this serving node.

摘要： An emergency telephone call is supported and routed to a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in an IP based packet switched wireless communications network. An activate PDP context request is sent from a user equipment to the network. A parameter in said activate PDP context request indicates that the PDP context will be used to transfer an emergency call. An activate PDP context accept message is returned from said support node to said user equipment. Said activate PDP context accept message acknowledges said activate PDP context request message and provides the address of a call state control function. A call setup request transferred to the call state control function includes the Service Area Identity (SAI). The call state control function selects a PSAP based, at least in part, on the SAI included in the call setup request and forwards the emergency call to the selected PSAP.

摘要： A method and a communication system which includes a first network element, e.g. portable terminal, connectable to a second network element. One of selectable modes is used for communication. A network element is adapted to perform a mode selection procedure for selecting the same mode for bidirectional communication between the network elements. The mode selection ensures the use of one and the same mode in uplink and downlink direction and thus enables e.g. IP telephony in UMTS using SIP protocol. The invention provides for facilitating a VoIP communication session by way of a radio link with a mobile station. The mobile station forms a QoS (Quality of Service) information element for communication to a radio access network portion.
