摘要： A method for correction of the calibration of the register mark accurately and/or register accurate printing process of an electrophotographic printing unit, preferably of a color-printing unit. Large surface toner fields are placed on a conveyor belt for the substrate to be printed, particularly in the larger spaces between the substrate sheets to be printed. The influence of a toner field placed on a conveyor belt for print substrate sheets on the register mark and/or registration of the printing process is identified, and such influence is expressed in the form of at least one correction value or parameter suitable for the correction of the calibration.

Marks are imprinted on a carrying element and at least one sensor is present to detect the marks on the carrying element and a second sensor detects a seam on the carrying element. A control mechanism receives mark values from the first sensor and seam values from the second sensor, and discarding mark values when the seam is detected.

摘要： A method for the calibration or recalibration of a conversion factor (web encoder resolution), used to determine the distance covered by a print substrate in a printing machine, in particular an electrophotographically operating printing machine, by the cycles of a rotary input type of encoder (web encoder) which sends a signal to the driver of the conveyor belt, preferably the rotation of a rotating drive component for the conveyor belt. This task is solved in that the number of phase pulse signals of the rotary input type of encoder which accumulates during the movement over the dimensions of the longitudinal extension known or otherwise measured section of the conveyer belt, is determined and compared to the known dimensions of the longitudinal extension.

摘要： In the system and method, a conveyor having a sequence of sheet supports is moved through a printer. During a first pass: two-side printable sheets are placed into sheet supports of a first segment of the sequence; one-pass printable sheets are excluded from a skipped second segment of sheet supports, and the two-side printable sheets are verso-printed. The printed sheets are then flipped. During a second pass: the two-side printable sheets are recto-printed; one-pass printable sheets are introduced into the second segment and are recto-printed. The printed sheets are delivered to an output holder in order. The one-pass printable sheets have a printable recto side and a ventro side that is a vector of contamination to the printer, at least when printed second.

摘要： An on-line gloss/density meter for an electrostatographic reproduction apparatus in which pigmented marking particle images are fixed to receiver members respectively by application of heat and/or pressure as such receiver members travel along a transport path through a fuser assembly. The on-line gloss/density meter includes at least one light emitter and at least one light collector, respectively mounted in operative association with the transport path so that light from the emitter, reflected from a receiver member, and is detected and a signal corresponding to such reflected light is produced. A guide element is associated with the transport path and directs a receiver member into a predetermined specified location relative to the beam of light. A logic and control unit, responsive to signals from the light collector, precisely controls operating parameters for the electrostatographic reproduction apparatus.
