    • A method and system for deriving a consumer's shopping habits includes a process for deriving a consumer's shopping habits whereby data representing financial transactions conducted by a given consumer using one of more payment methods is obtained. Payee identification data for the payees associated with the financial transactions is then obtained/derived from the financial transactions data. The payees' identification data is then analyzed to determine each payee's geographic location. The data representing the geographic location of the various payees is then aggregated, mapped, and analyzed to derive a geographical shopping area for the consumer, i.e., to determine where the consumer does a significant amount of his or her shopping.

    • In accordance with one embodiment, a system and method for providing consumers marketing devices based on their use of supplementary income includes obtaining consumer financial data associated with a given “consumer” from one or more sources. At least part of the consumer financial data is then analyzed to determine if the given consumer typically receives supplementary income and, if so, how the consumer typically treats any supplementary income received. A supplementary income profile is then created for the given consumer. Data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer is then stored and at least part of the data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer is provided to one or more product marketers. One or more product marketers then provide a marketing device to the given consumer. The marketing device itself, and/or the time when the marketing device is provided to the given consumer, and/or the terms of the marketing device, is/are based, at least in part, on the data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer provided to one or more product marketers and analysis of the data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer performed by the product marketers.

    • A method and system for providing a small business a coupon distribution system includes a process for coupon distribution to select consumers whereby a coupon provider defines at least one coupon eligibility criterion that must be met by a consumer in order for the consumer to be eligible to receive a given coupon. The coupon provider also provides coupon offer data including, but not limited to, the terms of the coupon, contact information for the coupon provider, and a logo and/or trademark associated with the coupon provider. The data representing the at least one coupon eligibility criterion and coupon offer data is then provided to the process for coupon distribution to select consumers. Financial data for one or more consumers is then obtained from one or more sources using a computing system implemented financial management system. Using the data representing the at least one coupon eligibility criterion and the consumer's financial data, one or more consumers are identified that are eligible to receive the coupon from the coupon provider. The identified consumers are then provided the one coupons and/or coupon offer data.

    • A method and system for providing relevant coupons includes a process for providing relevant coupons whereby a consumer's financial transaction data is obtained from one or more sources using a computing system implemented financial management system. The consumer is provided one or more financial transaction based coupons based, at least in part, on the consumer's financial transaction data. The financial transaction based coupons are then stored in a financial transaction based coupon database in an account and/or location associated with the consumer. When the consumer is conducting network search, data about the network search and/or search results is then used to search the financial transaction based coupon database to attempt to find one or more financial transaction based coupons relevant to the network search conducted by the user and/or the search results. If one or more financial transaction based coupons relevant to the network search conducted by the user and/or the search results are found, the consumer is alerted to the relevant financial transaction based coupons.
