摘要： A repair kit for replacing an unserviceable vane assembly in a turbine engine includes a serviceable vane subassembly 120 having a serviceable airfoil 124 with a base 134 attached to the root end thereof and an opposing base 156 which is unattached to but slidably engagable with the serviceable airfoil. The opposing base is slipped over the tip end of the airfoil and slid toward the opposing base. The vane subassembly and opposing base are pivoted into position between inner and outer engine cases in place of an unserviceable vane assembly so that receptor sockets 148, 150 in the attached base engage support pins 72 extending from the inner case. An adhesive 182 is applied to the tip end of the serviceable airfoil and the opposing base is translated into its installed position near the tip end of the airfoil. Upon curing of the adhesive, the opposing base becomes attached to the airfoil. The base is secured to the outer case by studs 196 and nuts 198.

摘要： A hybrid airfoil for a gas turbine engine is provided that includes a body and a panel. The body has a first side and a second side orientated opposite the first side. The first and second sides extend between a tip, a base, a leading edge and a trailing edge. The body includes a plurality of cavities disposed in the first side of the body, which cavities extend inwardly toward the second side. The cavities collectively form an opening. At least one rib is disposed between the cavities. A shelf is disposed around the opening. The panel is attached to the shelf first mounting surface and to the rib, and is sized to enclose the opening. The panel is a load bearing structure operable to transfer loads to the body and receive loads from the body.

摘要： A method of making a passenger conveyor handrail includes forming a drive member having a plurality of longitudinally spaced drive surfaces. The drive member has a longitudinal stiffness for maintaining a desired spacing between the drive surfaces. The drive member is inserted into a molding device. A gripping surface portion of the handrail is formed using the molding device such that the gripping surface portion and the drive member are secured together. Another method includes forming a belt drive member having a plurality of teeth that establish a plurality of longitudinally spaced drive surfaces. The belt has a longitudinal stiffness for maintaining a desired spacing between the drive surfaces. Each of the teeth extends across an entire width of the belt. The belt is secured to a gripping surface portion of the handrail.

The seat is configured to limit the oil film from 3% to 33% of the total inlet port opening.
