摘要： A process for production of ether by hydration and etherification of olefinic feedstock containing at least one lower alkene by contacting the olefinic feedstock and water in a plurality of catalytic reaction zones containing porous solid metal oxide acidic olefin hydration and etherification catalyst under olefin hydration and etherification conditions. Improved operation is achieved by recovering a first effluent stream from at least one fixed bed hydration zone, splitting the first effluent stream into a product recovery stream and a plurality of recycle streams, and passing at least a portion of cooled recycle streams comprising olefin, alcohol and ether in effluent stream component proportions for quenching at least one fixed bed reaction zone to control temperature of hot effluent from a preceding reaction zone.

摘要： A process for upgrading of unstable olefins, naphthas, and dienes, such as coker naphthas, is disclosed. The olefins in the unstable naphthas are oligomerized over a shape selective zeolite to gasoline and distillate products. The dienes are catalytically converted by the same zeolite. Preferably, hydrogen is added to increase catalyst life. Feed pretreatment, to remove basic nitrogen compounds also improves catalyst life. Water washing of coker naphtha is the preferred method of removing basic nitrogen compounds.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for separating sulfolane from a mixture containing conjunct polymers, sulfolane, and hydrofluoric acid comprising the sequential steps of:(a) removing HF from said mixture to provide an intermediate stream containing less than about 30 weight percent HF;(b) contacting said intermediate stream with water;(c) contacting said intermediate stream with an aliphatic hydrocarbon co-solvent having from about 3 to about 20 carbon atoms concurrently with said water-contacting step (b);(d) recovering an extract stream enriched in sulfolane and hydrofluoric acid; and(e) recovering a raffinate stream enriched in conjunct polymers.

摘要： Gasoline product yield is enhanced in a fixed bed methanol-to-gasoline process by splitting the conversion reactor into a series of smaller conversion reactors such that the total amount of catalyst normally present in the single conversion reactor is present in equal quantities in the smaller conversion reactors. The smaller conversion reactors operate sequentially with the next conversion reactor beginning operation only when the preceeding conversion reactor is catalytically exhausted. The by-passing of one or more of the catalyst beds prevents premature deactivation of the catalyst beds downstream of the point at which the reaction products are removed.

The process includes dispersing an acid-based liquid alkylation catalyst into a reaction zone for contact with a continuous hydrocarbon phase. The process further includes separating the hydrocarbon phase from the acid catalyst upon completion of the alkylation reaction and providing a continuous on-line regeneration of the entire volume of catalyst once it has been separated from the hydrocarbon phase.

摘要： A methanol-to-gasoline conversion process in which the conversion is conducted in a number of reactors which are fed directly by the charge, preferably in equal proportions. A diluent gas, preferably recycled light hydrocarbons separated from the product, is passed in sequence through each of the beds to carry away the heat of reaction. In this way, a high effective recycle ratio is maintained in each bed although the actual recycle ratio for the entire system is low.
