The remote may employ this information to determine which device is closest and transmit commands accordingly.

摘要： A controller for a device transmitting commands across one or more communication channels. Each such channel may employ a separate medium, such as radio waves and infrared light. The controller may transmit two separate signals to a device, where one signal is sent via radio waves and the other by infrared light. One signal may correspond to a group identifier and the other to an operating command to be carried out by the device. The device may receive both signals and, if the device belongs to a group corresponding to the group identifier, it may execute the operating command. Alternatively, the group identifier may be replaced by a wake command and the device may execute the operating command only if the wake command is received.

摘要： A control system for a top down/bottom up covering for an architectural opening includes a head rail and an independently moveable bottom rail and middle rail. A shade material extends between the middle rail and the bottom rail and control systems are provided at opposite ends of the head rail for operating the middle rail independently of the bottom rail. Each control system includes lift spools associated with lift cords that are secured to the bottom rail or middle rail with the lift spools being seated in cradles and rotated by a drive shaft connected to manually operated control elements. Each drive shaft is operatively connected to a braking system in the form of a two-way clutch so the drive shafts can be rotated in either direction to raise or lower a bottom or middle rail, but locked in any selected position.

摘要： Various embodiments of an architectural covering insert primarily adapted for use in simulated divided light openings is disclosed. The insert includes an outer framework with horizontal and vertical dividers, a plurality of horizontally or vertically disposed shade components associated with one or more dividers and control means for moving the shade components between extended and retracted positions across simulated openings defined by the vertical and horizontal dividers. The shade components can be of the roller shade type or collapsible cellular type with the net result being that, from a visual standpoint, there are shade components associated with each individual simulated opening defined by the horizontal and vertical dividers, as opposed to a single shade that covers the entire architectural opening.

摘要： An adjustable shade comprising a pleated expandable and collapsible main shade and a pleated expandable and collapsible auxiliary shade on a lower end of the main shade, with the auxiliary shade arranged so that the pleats can fan outwardly from one side edge of the auxiliary shade. Expansion of the one side edge of the auxiliary shade is controlled so that it can form an inverted fan configuration with the one side edge of the shade adjacent the center of the fan configuration. The auxiliary shade is preferably formed in two auxiliary shade sections with each arranged so that it can be moved from a collapsed condition paralleling the pleats in the main shade to an expanded condition with the pleats radiating outwardly from one side edge through the arc of about 90 degrees. The auxiliary shade sections are preferably mounted on a lower rail attached to the lower end of the main shade. The auxiliary shade sections are normally gravitationally urged toward the inverted fan configuration and mechanism is provided for releasably retaining the auxiliary shade sections in a collapsed or folded condition.
