摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus and method for data transmission/reception in a mobile telecommunication system, and more particularly to an apparatus and method for data transmission/reception in a mobile telecommunication system employing an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) scheme. The method includes identifying a CHannel IDentifier (CH_ID), which represents a first resource indicated by a Forward Shared Control CHannel (F-SCCH) among all resources; identifying a second resource indicated by resource assignment information for group terminals; and when the first resource includes all or a part of the second resource, and a third resource unused by the group terminals exists in the entire or part of the second resource, transmitting/receiving data by means of the third resource and a fourth resource, which is a remaining part of the first resource excluding the second resource.

摘要： A packet data transmitting/receiving method in a mobile communication system. The transmission method includes determining whether to transmit a plurality of packet data in one slot; and transmitting a Primary Control Preamble (PCP) having a specific preamble pattern, a coded control channel, and packet data, if it is determined to transmit a plurality of packet data in one slot. The reception method includes detecting a preamble from a signal received from a base station; determining whether the detected preamble is a Primary Control Preamble (PCP) having a specific preamble pattern; decoding coded control channels, and checking a Media Access Control Identifier (MAC ID) in the decoded control channels, if the detected preamble is a PCP; determining whether the MAC ID in the control channels is identical to a MAC ID of a terminal; and decoding corresponding packet data if the MAC IDs are identical.

The OFDM system has a transmission structure in which one slot includes at least two symbols, and each symbol includes a plurality of subcarriers. Different broadcast service packets received from at least two channels are multiplexed into one slot and a result of the multiplexing is transmitted. Overhead information of the channel packets multiplexed into the one slot is generated and transmitted.

摘要： An apparatus and method transmits a packet data symbol in a high-rate packet data (HRPD) mobile communication system for broadcasting service. A transmission processor generates a modulated symbol by encoding, interleaving and modulating a physical layer packet to be transmitted, and arranges the modulated symbol in a data tone. A tone inserter inserts a guard tone and a pilot tone into the data tone. A tone power allocator sets a different pilot-to-data tone power ratio according to a position of a slot, in which the packet data symbol is included, and allocates power according to the pilot-to-data tone power ratio. A transmitter transmits the packet data symbol.

The mobile station determines information on the amount of data stored in its buffer based on information transmitted from the base station. The mobile station quantizes the determined information on the amount of data stored in the buffer, and transmits the quantized information to the base station.
