The apparatus may include a computer processor, a device for receiving cash and for determining how much cash has been received, and a device for providing a signal to indicate that sufficient cash has been received to pay for transportation services. The computer processor may receive data from the device for receiving cash and for determining how much cash has been received, and the computer processor may cause the device for providing a signal to provide a signal if sufficient cash has been received to pay for transportation services. The apparatus may further include a housing; and the computer processor, the device for receiving cash, and the device for providing a signal may be fixed to the housing.
