    • A liquid crystal display panel and a fabricating method thereof for minimizing a resistance of a silver dot caused by thickness of a silver dot and preventing distortion of a common voltage are disclosed. In the liquid crystal display panel, a common pad may be formed on a first substrate. A common electrode supplies a common voltage through a common pad to a second substrate opposite to the first substrate. A conductive dot is substantially formed between the common electrode and the common pad to electrically connect the common electrode and common pad. An organic protective film minimizes conductive dot height on the first substrate at an area substantially corresponding to the common pad.

    • Disclosed are a liquid crystal display panel and apparatus, which can prevent electrolytic corrosion or other corrosion of on-off pads in a test pad part. The liquid crystal display panel comprises: a pixel part having a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix at intersections of a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines; a gate pad part having a plurality of gate pads, each of the gate pads connected with the corresponding gate lines to deliver a gate signal; a data pad part having a plurality of data pads, each of the data pads connected with the corresponding data lines to deliver a data signal; a test pad part having at least one or more on-off pads delivering a test signal to the gate lines or the data lines; and a switching device for cutting off the gate signal and/or the data signal so as not to be provided to the on-off pads upon driving the liquid crystal display panel.

    • A liquid crystal display device includes a display unit having matrix type pixels defined by gate and data lines crossing with each other, a data driver to supply a data voltage to be supplied to the data lines via output lines, the output lines being less in number than the data lines, a plurality of demultiplexers, each including a plurality of switching devices having a gate terminal, source terminal and a drain terminal, wherein the gate terminals are supplied with a plurality of control signals, the source terminals are commonly connected to the corresponding output line, and the drain terminals are individually connected to one side of the data lines, respectively, a data line check unit activated to supply a test data voltage to the other side of the data lines when the data driver is inactive, a plurality of signal input lines individually connected to the gate terminals, respectively, an input terminal supplied with a cutoff signal to be inputted to the signal input lines to turn off the switching devices, and a switching unit electrically connecting/disconnecting the input terminal to/from the signal input lines according to an external control signal.

    • A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal layer interposed between opposing substrates. One of the substrates includes a conductive black matrix layer formed within a display region and formed in non-display region of the device. A black matrix island formed at the same time as the black matrix layer is isolated from the black matrix layer in the non-display region. A color filter layer of red, green and blue color filters is formed in the display region. A common electrode is formed on the black matrix layer and on the black matrix island. The common electrode formed on the black matrix island is insulated from the black matrix island by an insulator. Silver dots in the non-display region are respectively connected with the black matrix layer and the common electrode on the black matrix island.
