    • A system and method for providing transparent communications between an Infiniband (IB) network and a Fibre Channel (FC) network are disclosed. One method comprises: (a) detecting FC node ports in the FC network; (b) creating virtual IB targets for each FC node port in the FC network; and (c) converting IB packets directed to the virtual IB targets into FC frames directed to the corresponding FC node port. It may further comprise intercepting management packets directed to the virtual IB targets and responsively emulating a subnet management agent (SMA) of the addressed virtual IB target. Another method comprises: (a) detecting IB channel adapters; (b) creating a virtual FC target for each IB channel adapter; and (c) converting any FC frames directed to the virtual FC targets into IB packets directed to the corresponding IB channel adapter. Fabric frames directed to the virtual FC targets may be intercepted and handled appropriately.

    • An Infiniband (IB) router with an internal subnet architecture is disclosed. It comprises multiple port interface circuits interconnected by an internal IB subnet. The multiple port interface circuits each connect to an external IB subnet and preferably determine new local route headers (LRH) for global IB packets (i.e. packets having a global route header (GRH)). The new LRHs for externally received packets include a destination local identifier (DLID) value that identifies another port interface circuit in the router, whereas the new LRHs for internally received packets include a DLID value that identifies an end node or router in the external subnet to which the port interface circuit is attached. The internal IB subnet transports IB packets between the port interface circuits, directing them according to the contents of the LRHs. The internal subnet may take the form of an IB switch or a network of IB switches.

    • A remote command system is provided for controlling a device, for example a device or machine used in a manufacturing process. The system may include one headset with a microphone or a plurality of wireless headsets each having a microphone and configured to receive voice sounds from a user and a transmission unit configured to transmit voice signals in response to the voice sounds. A controller interface unit may be configured to receive the voice signals from the wireless headsets and to transmit control signals, where the controller interface is further configured to be trained to receive and interpret voice signals having personal characteristics of a user. A processor module is configured to receive the control signals from the controller interface unit to operate the device or machine.

    • Methods, products, compositions and kits are provided for attaching agents to tissue with a linking molecule in the presence of transglutaminase. The linking molecule and/or agent is a substrate of transglutaminase. The agent can be a nonprotein or an enzyme such as cholinesterase or phosphodiesterase. The transglutaminase may be exogenously added or be endogenous in tissue. In specific embodiments, the agent is not a transglutaminase substrate and the linking molecule is a substrate for transglutaminase containing at least two contiguous linked glutamines or at least three contiguous linked lysines, and may be a polymer. A conjugate of the agent and the linking molecule may be applied to tissue, and in the presence of transglutaminase covalently bonded to the tissue via the linking molecule. A complementary linking molecule rich in lysines may be first attached to the tissue in the presence of transglutaminase, and then covalently bonded to a glutamine-containing linking molecule of the conjugate in the presence of transglutaminase. In another embodiment a linking molecule containing multiple glutamines is covalently bonded to tissue in the presence of transglutaminase, and an agent containing multiple lysines is covalently bonded to the linking molecule in the presence of transglutaminase. Alternatively, the linking molecule contains multiple lysines and the agent contains multiple glutamines. Two tissues can be sealed together by holding the tissues in contact with each other in the presence of transglutalinase.
