    • A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel having liquid crystal cells arranged at crossings of gate lines and data lines and include thin film transistors that are alternately connected to adjacent data lines every ‘i’ number of horizontal lines (i is a positive number); a gate driver for driving the gate lines; and a data driver for driving the data lines; a multiplexor array for determining an output channel of an inputted pixel data and for adding one blank data in response to the control signals having their polarity inverted every ‘i’ number of horizontal lines, and a digital-analog converter array for converting the pixel data and the blank data to a pixel signal and a blank signal having their polarities inverted according to the data lines and frames.

    • A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof that are capable of driving a liquid crystal display panel with no flicker using a data driver driven by a column inversion system. In the liquid crystal display, a plurality of liquid crystal cells are positioned at intersections between gate lines and data lines. Color filters are arranged in a zigzag type on the liquid crystal cells on a basis of the data lines. A gate driver drives the gate lines. A data driver applies video signals to the data lines by a column inversion system and shifts said video signals applied to any one of odd horizontal lines and even horizontal lines by one channel to apply said video signals corresponding to the color filters to the liquid crystal cells.

    • A liquid crystal display and a dot inversion driving technique for that liquid crystal display. The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel having liquid crystal cells defined by intersections of gate and data lines. Each liquid crystal cell includes a thin film transistor. Those thin film transistors are connected in a zigzag pattern to the gate lines. Pixel voltage signals are applied in a line inversion fashion to the liquid crystal cells such that the pixel voltage signal polarities (referenced to a common electrode) are inverted in every horizontal period. The common electrode can be an AC voltage that changes in each horizontal period.
