摘要： A source remote copy configuration in a source storage system is migrated to a destination storage system as a destination remote copy configuration. The destination primary storage apparatus of the destination storage system defines a virtual volume mapped to the primary volume provided by the source primary storage apparatus which is a storage area of the virtual volume; takes over a first identifier of the primary volume to the virtual volume; transfers, when the virtual volume receives an access request, the access request to the source primary storage apparatus to write data in the primary volume; and takes over the first identifier from the virtual volume to another primary volume provided by the destination primary storage apparatus, after completion of copy of data from primary volume of the source primary storage apparatus into primary volume of the destination primary storage apparatus and secondary volume of the destination secondary storage apparatus.

摘要： A storage system according to one preferred embodiment of the present invention is composed of at least a first storage subsystem and a second storage subsystem. Write data from a host computer is duplicated to a first volume of the first storage subsystem and a second volume of the second storage subsystem, and the host computer is composed to be able to access both the first volume and the second volume. Attribute information which is information related to an order of write and/or write capability is set for each volume, and when an access command to the volume is received from the host computer, the storage subsystem determines whether I/O to the first volume and/or the second volume is required or not based on the attribute set for each volume.

摘要： A primary storage system is equipped with a local storage subsystem having a mirror volume of a volume in a primary storage subsystem, and a remote storage subsystem having a mirror volume of the volume in the primary storage subsystem at a secondary site. When storing a write data from a host to a volume, the primary storage subsystem determines an SEQ# to be stored in a journal corresponding to the write request, creates a journal including the relevant SEQ# and a replica of the write data, and transmits the relevant SEQ# to the local storage subsystem, which creates a journal including the relevant SEQ# and stores it in its own journal volume. But when creation of the journal including the relevant SEQ# is stopped, the local storage subsystem creates a dummy journal including the relevant SEQ# but not including the write data.

摘要： The present invention provides a storage system capable of performing data migration without stopping the IO access from a host computer, without having to copy data in an external connection storage subsystem to a migration destination storage subsystem. A configuration information of a migration source volume in a migration source storage subsystem is migrated to the migration destination storage subsystem, and during migration, cache memories of the respective subsystems are used to duplicate and store write data from the host computer, and the migration destination storage subsystem reflects the write data to the external connection storage subsystem. Reading of data is also performed by the migration destination storage subsystem.
