    • According to one embodiment, a controller for a storage apparatus is disclosed having interfaces connectable to a host system, a first storage apparatus and a second storage apparatus. A data in the first storage apparatus and a data in the second storage apparatus are duplicates. A status table stores the operating state regarding the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus, wherein the operating state indicates among writing, reading, or standing by. A monitor monitors the interfaces and set up the operating state into the status table. A buffer memory buffers the data for writing in the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus. A command response unit receives the data for writing and write-in request from a host system, and directs the writing of the data to the first storage apparatus and the second storage apparatus while making the buffer memory buffer the received data.

    • According to this invention, there is provided a method applicable to the system which comprises a plurality of base stations each forming radio zones and storing a mobile terminal, and a gateway being connected to a packet communication network and relaying packet communication between the packet communication network and the mobile terminal. The method comprises buffering packets transmitted by a downlink to the mobile terminal in a packet buffer, requiring retransmission of unarrived packets in handover accompanied by movement among the radio zones, reading the packet required from the mobile terminal to retransmit the packet to the mobile terminal that is a request source, and assigning serial identification numbers to packets at least in a start to an end of the handover. When the identification numbers of the reached packets are discontinuous, the mobile terminal requires retransmission of packets needed to eliminate the discontinuity.

    • A construction machine has a locking mechanism for locking a lower end of a front part of a guard member onto a bracket while allowing a cab to be moved with elastic deformation of an anti-vibration mount. The locking mechanism has a shaft body across the bracket and the guard member vertically movably with the guard member. The shaft body has a stopper to be engaged to an upper frame side to restrict a moving amount of the shaft body to a stroke for shock absorbing.
