    • A connector which is capable of accommodating displacement between objects to be connected, and prevents an operation force required in connecting the connector and the objects and the amount of deformation of the contacts from becoming too large. A plurality of contacts are each provided with contact portions which sandwich a plate-shaped contact portion of a contact (first object to be connected) in a manner capable of relatively pivoting in a direction of thickness thereof, and contact portions which sandwich a plate-shaped contact portion of a contact (second object to be connected) in a manner capable of relatively pivoting in a direction of thickness thereof. The contacts are accommodated in a contact-accommodating hole of a housing in a manner capable of pivoting in the direction of the thickness of each of the contact portions of the first and second objects to be connected.

    • A connector comprises a housing extending in a front-rear direction and a sealing member attached in the housing. The housing has a rear wall located at a rear end portion of the housing and an enclosed portion extending from the rear wall in the front-rear direction. When the housing is formed by a molding process, a metal mold is used to form a plurality of seal stoppers around the enclosed portion. Each of the seal stoppers protrudes from the enclosed portion in a direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction. The housing has a plurality of holes which are formed when the metal mold is removed from the housing. Each of the holes pierces the rear wall in the front-rear direction. The holes face the respective seal stoppers in the front-rear direction. The sealing member is attached to the enclosed portion so as to be located between the rear wall and the seal stoppers in the front-rear direction. The front sides of the holes are covered by the sealing member.

    • A connector capable of being fitted to a partner connector is provided with a lock member, a solenoid having a plunger, a restriction member having a restricting part, and a restricted part. In a fitted state in which the connector and the partner connector are fitted to each other, the lock member engages the partner connector and locks the two connectors into a fitted state. The solenoid drives the plunger between a restriction position and a release position. The restriction member is movably supported by the plunger. The restricted part receives the restricting part when the plunger is driven into the restriction position. When the plunger is in the restriction position, movement of the restricted part is restricted by the restricting part, and thereby the restricted part directly or indirectly prevents release of the fitted state.

    • Provided is an optical connector apparatus comprising a connector which is connected to an electro-optical composite cable including an optical fiber and a metal conductor, and a connection object to be connected. The connector is provided with a ferrule which has a conductive portion on at least a part of the surface thereof. The connection object to be connected is provided with an electrically conductive connection member to be connected to the ferrule. The ferrule and the cable are connected by a crimping structure. When the ferrule is inserted in the connection member, the connector and the connection object to be connected are electrically and optically connected to each other. Provided is also an optical connector apparatus which comprises a connector having a plurality of ferrules having distances between the end of the ferrules and the conductive portions so that the timing of the connection of the connector to the object to be connected is delayed, and thus the optical connector apparatus is capable of hot swapping. The connection object to be connected can be a combination of an adapter and a mating connector, or an optical element and an adapter which holds the same, etc.

    • A lock-equipped connector capable of preventing plastic deformation of a spring section of a locking member even when the connector is made compact in size. The locking member has a pair of arms extending in a fitting/removing direction of the connector, a connecting portion that connects the arms, a spring section, and engaging nails formed on the arms.
