摘要： Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer and asthma.The object can be solved by a pharmaceutical composition comprising a siRNA molecule that directs cleavage of mRNA of mucin subtype 5 AC via RNA interference, or an antibody against mucin subtype 5AC as an active ingredient. According to the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention, diseases involving an overexpression of mucin subtype 5 AC can be treated efficiently. In particular, the pharmaceutical composition comprising a siRNA molecule of the present invention is effectively used in the treatment of a cancer, particularly pancreatic cancer. In addition, the siRNA or the antibody of the present invention can inhibit the expression or function of MUC5AC, thereby preventing or treating the symptoms of asthma effectively.

A physiologically active PSK can, using the present invention, be detected high-accurately and quantitatively. For example, the present invention is useful for detecting and measuring the physiologically active PSK contained in a medicine or a food and drink, and for analyzing pharmacokinetics after administrating the physiologically active PSK.

摘要： A novel glycoprotein having (a) a molecular weight of approximately 60 kDa and (b) a ratio of a carbohydrate content to a protein content of 16.4:1.0 (carbohydrate: protein) is disclosed. The glycoprotein can be prepared by (1) extracting Tricholoma matsutake with an alkaline solution or hot water, (2) adsorbing the resulting extract by an anion exchange resin, (3) eluting the adsorption fraction from the anion exchange resin with an eluting solution, and (4) obtaining a fraction having a molecular weight of 50 to 70 kDa by gel filtration. The glycoprotein is useful as the active ingredient for an immune enhancing agent, an agent for promoting a recovery from stress, or an antitumor agent.
