摘要： An electrostatic latent image is formed by the Carlson process, etc. on a base (photosensitive body) to develop the electrostatic latent image by a solidification developer in which coloring agent particles are dispersed into a dispersion medium in a solid state at an ordinary temperature and adapted to reversibly repeat fusion by heating at about 30.degree. C. at a temperature above a melting point and solidification by cooling, thus to form a developer picture. Thereafter, the base and a transferred body are caused to be subjected to pressure-contact and heating process to fuse the dispersion medium at a pressure-contact and heating temperature more than the melting point of the dispersion medium to subsequently cool the dispersion medium down to a temperature less than the melting point to peel the transferred body to transfer the developer picture onto the transferred body. Alternatively, the dispersion medium is softened at a pressure-contact and heating temperature set so that this temperature falls within a range where it is not above the melting point to subsequently peel the transferred body to transfer the developer picture onto the transferred body. On the surface of a recording paper, a resin layer compatible with a dispersion medium of a developer may be formed.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an endless belt-shaped photosensitive member laid across a drive roller and a plurality of guide rollers and caused to undergo endless traveling, wherein there is used a solidified developer which is solid at an ordinary temperature but is brought into a molten state by implementing a heating processing thereto, and is re-solidified by implementing a cooling treatment thereto. An image preparation process section is disposed at the outer circumferential portion of the drive roller of large diameter, and a recording sheet contact roller and a recording sheet peeling roller which constitute guide rollers are disposed at an upper part of the drive roller so as to mutually constitute the same plane to travel the endless belt-shaped photosensitive member in a horizontal direction. A recording sheet is delivered from a recording sheet supply section and is caused to come into pressure contact with the surface of the endless belt-shaped photosensitive member traveling in the horizontal direction by the recording sheet's own rigidity. When the recording sheet is caused to undergo transfer of a developer image formed on the surface of the endless belt-shaped photosensitive member and is cooled by suitable element means, it is naturally peeled from the endless belt-shaped photosensitive member at a recording sheet peeling roller portion. Thus, a high accuracy transfer image free from image collapse or image flow, etc. can be obtained, and a compact structure and improvement in workability of maintenance, etc. can be realized.

摘要： An ink-jet printer and a drive method for driving a recording head of an ink-jet printer are provided for controlling a size and a velocity of an ejected ink droplet. The ink-jet printer includes a droplet outlet orifice through which an ink droplet is ejected, an ink chamber communicating with the outlet orifice, an ink feed duct for feeding ink to the ink chamber, and a piezoelectric element for expanding and contracting the ink chamber in response to an applied voltage. A process for ink ejection includes a first step in which a meniscus in the outlet orifice is retracted towards the ink chamber by expanding the ink chamber, a second step in which the meniscus is moved towards the orifice by filling the chamber with ink, and a third step in which an ink droplet is ejected by contracting the ink chamber. The size and the velocity of the ink droplet ejected in the third step are controlled by controlling a position and a velocity of periodic travel of the meniscus at a start point of the third step.
