    • An image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a door to cover an opening in a chassis, a fixing unit, a frame, a linear motion member to linearly move along with the door, a guiding member to guide the linear motion member to move linearly, a coupler assembly to couple the door with the linear motion member and move the linear motion member, and a manipulation member being movable according to movement of the linear motion member. The linear motion member includes a contact portion, with which the manipulation member comes in contact along an intersecting direction. The guiding member includes a slider plane to slidably support the linear motion member. The linear motion member is slidably supported by the slider plane of the guiding member at a surface which is on an opposite side from the surface having the contact portion.

    • The wiper system with translational motion is additionally capable of moving the wiper arm in angular motion at an auto stop position so that the wiper blade may be stowed away from the view of the vehicle operator when the wiper system is not in use. The retracted position may be defined immediately below the lower edge of the windshield. When a mist switch is turned on so as to effect a quick wiping action, the wiper arm can angularly move from the retracted position to the upright position. When the wiper arm is already in the translational motion, turning on of the mist switch may increase the speed of the translational motion. To prevent the wiper blade from obstructing the view of the vehicle operator in an intermittent mode, the position of the temporary stop of the wiper blade may be selected at the reversing position which is remote from the vehicle operator. If the interval of the intermittent operation of the wiper arm is relatively short, the position of the temporary stop may then be selected at the auto stop position because the duration of the temporary stop is so short that the obstruction of the view of the vehicle operator is insignificant.

    • An image processing apparatus is adapted for a color image reproducing system for photo-electrically reading out a color image, converting so-obtained image data to digital signals, effecting image processing on the image data and reproducing a color image. The image processing apparatus includes a hard disk for storing image data obtained by photoelectrically reading out a plurality of color image, an image processing section for effecting image processing on the image data stored in the hard disk and reducing the number of pixels of the image data, a CRT for simultaneously displaying a plurality of color images based on the image data whose number of pixels has been reduced, and a keyboard through which an instruction signal is input for altering image processing conditions of the image processing section. According to the thus constituted image processing apparatus, it is possible to reproduce a plurality of color images so that color images having uniform tone, gradation, density and the like as a whole can be reproduced.
