摘要： New substances designated as DC-45-A, DC-45-B.sub.1 and DC-45-B.sub.2 and represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein (i) R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together with the carbon atom therebetween represent the group ##STR2## and R.sub.3 represents ##STR3## (designated DC-45-A); (ii) R.sub.1 represents --OH, R.sub.2 represents --CH.sub.2 OH and R.sub.3 represents ##STR4## (designated DC-45-B.sub.1); or (iii) R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 together with the carbon atom therebetween represent the group ##STR5## and R.sub.3 represents ##STR6## (designated DC-45-B.sub.2). 摘要： Provided is a computer system, in which a storage system includes a first control module for logically dividing first resources of the storage system and operating them as independent virtual storage systems. A computer includes a second control module for logically dividing second resources of the computer and operating them as independent virtual machines. The computer system holds first information indicating a correlation among the virtual machine, the virtual storage system, and the first resources. The first control module specifies the first resource allocated to the virtual storage system whose power is cut based on the first information, and powers off the specified first resource. Thus, system power consumption can be reduced by managing power of the storage system shared by a plurality of virtual machines in a virtualization environment.

摘要： A first storage system is connected to a second storage system, and an external device within the first storage system is provided to a host as a device of the second storage system. The second storage system includes a cache control section having cache adaptors, each controlling a disk and a cache, a protocol conversion section including protocol adaptors that switch requests from the host to appropriate ones of the cache adaptors, a management adaptor, and an internal network that mutually connects the cache adaptors, the protocol adaptors and the management adaptor. The first storage system being connected to any of the protocol adaptors is connected to the second storage system. The second storage system executes a processing for the external device by the cache control section, or connects to the first storage system through the protocol conversion section without the cache control section executing processing for the external device.
