摘要： An inkjet head includes a cavity plate having a plurality of pressure chambers arranged in matrix, a piezoelectric sheet laminated on the cavity plate, and a power supply board. A plurality of substantially rhombus driving electrodes are formed on the piezoelectric sheet in a matrix at positions corresponding to the pressure chambers. A first contact land extends from one of the acute angle corners of each driving electrode. The driving electrodes are arranged such that the first contact land extending from one driving electrode is placed between two driving electrodes adjacent to said one driving electrode. The power supply board has a plurality of second contact lands formed at positions corresponding to the first contact lands. The second contact lands are connected with respective ones of the first contact lands for power supply.

摘要： An inkjet head employed in an inkjet printing apparatus includes a main body provided with a printing surface, which has a substantially rectangular elongated shape, and a plurality of piezoelectric modules. Each of the piezoelectric modules has a substantially trapezoidal shape, and is provided with a plurality of piezoelectric unit structures. The plurality of piezoelectric modules are arranged along a longitudinal direction of the printing surface such that upper base of the trapezoidal shape is located at a central portion in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Further, the plurality of piezoelectric modules are oriented in opposite directions alternately in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

摘要： A piezoelectric sheet of an ink-jet head includes dummy individual electrodes in addition to individual electrodes which corresponds to respective nozzles. The dummy individual electrodes are in an outer periphery of the individual electrodes. FPC board applies drive voltage to the individual electrodes in a drive area, and deforms the area in the piezoelectric sheet in the direction of an ink pressure chamber, while the drive voltage is not applied to the individual electrodes of the non-drive area. When the dummy individual electrodes are formed in the non-drive area, a boundary area of the drive area and the non-drive area is uniformly fired when the piezoelectric sheet is manufactured. In the drive area, since surrounding structures of the respective individual electrodes become equal to one another, ink discharge characteristic is substantially uniform in the boundary area of the drive area and the non-drive area.

The flexible film partitions the ink reservoir into a first space to be filled with ink and a second space to be filled with no ink.

The method also includes forming a piezoelectric sheet which comprises the plurality of individual electrodes and the internal electrode opposite to the respective individual electrodes by firing the piezoelectric material in which the individual electrodes are formed and forming a plurality of individual electrodes for drive voltage application on a board which drives the piezoelectric sheet. The method further includes electrically connecting the respective individual electrodes in the drive area of the piezoelectric sheet to the respective individual electrodes formed on the board.

摘要： An inkjet printer has a reservoir unit including an ink supply port to which ink is supplied from the outside and an ink reservoir for storing the ink supplied from the ink supply port. Further, the inkjet printer has an air purging passage branched off from an area of an ink supply flow passage extending from the ink supply port to a manifold via the ink reservoir. The area is located downstream with respect to a filter; and an air purging valve capable of opening or closing the air purging passage. The air in the ink supply passage can be readily purged from the air purging passage.
