摘要： A glass sheet is heated nearly to its softening point while being passed through a heating furnace. The heated glass sheet is then clamped at its peripheral edge between first and second molds. Thereafter, a third mold is pressed against a central region of the glass sheet with the peripheral edge thereof clamped, thereby to project the central region from one side to the other side thereof. The glass sheet is thus pressed to a desired highly curved shape with no wrinkles or cracks developed therein. The glass sheet is clamped and pressed by a pressing apparatus which includes a fixed concave ring mold as the first mold, and a movable convex mold comprising a peripheral mold assembly as the second mold and a central mold member as the third mold. The glass sheet thus curved is typically used as a front or rear window glass sheet for automobiles.

摘要： A sheet of glass is bent with a system including a feed mechanism for feeding the sheet of glass along a predetermined path, a heating furnace disposed along the path, for heating the sheet of glass, and a shaping device disposed along the path for bending the sheet of glass heated by the heating furnace. Before the sheet of glass is bent by the shaping device, the sheet of glass is thermally processed to different degrees at leading and trailing end portions thereof along the path, thereby uniformizing temperatures of the sheet of glass from the leading end portion to the trailing end portion thereof.

摘要： A method for manufactuing a curved glass plate includes the steps of mounting a single glass plate blank heated to a deformable temperature in a heating furnace on a lower mold configured for supporting a lower face peripheral edge of the glass plate blank outside the heating furnace, pressing a curvature forming upper mold which bulges downwardly against an upper face of the glass plate to form a curvature in the glass plate and coolign the curved glass plate as being mounted on the lower mold by natural cooling or near-natural cooling, thereby to obtain the curved glass plate as a final product. During the step of cooling the glass plate on the lower mold, the lower mold is heated whereas an inner portion of the lower face of the glass plate adjacent the portion of the glass plate placed in contact with the lower mold is forcibly cooled.

摘要： A toner container includes a container body, a gear, a held portion, an information storage device, a holding portion, and a connecting portion. The container body is rotatable around a rotation axis. The gear is disposed on a leading end of the toner container in the attaching direction of the toner container. The held portion is disposed such that the gear is exposed on the leading end in the attaching direction. The information storage device communicates with the body of the image forming apparatus. The holding portion is held by the held portion via the connecting portion. The information storage device, the holding portion, and the connecting portion are disposed at oblique positions excluding positions on a horizontal line and a vertical line. The connecting portion covers a part of the gear in a rotation direction and includes a rib-shaped portion that connects the held portion and the holding portion.

The shutter mechanism includes a shutter that opens and closes the supply port in conjunction with attaching and detaching operation of the second device with respect to the first device and a guide groove that is provided in a recess manner so as not to be exposed from the supply port as viewed from the second device and guides the opening and closing operation of the shutter. A space is formed between the guide groove and an end portion of the supply port making contact with the shutter when the shutter closes the supply port.
