    • In a single can-type composite heat source machine including a single can body (2) including a first combustion section (3-1) having a first burner (4-1) and a hot water supplying first main heat exchanger (5-1) located above the first burner (4-1), and a second combustion section (3-2) having a second burner (4-2) and a second main heat exchanger (5-2) located above the second burner (4-2) and used for a purpose other than hot water supply, the first combustion section (3-1) and the second combustion section (3-2) being partitioned from each other by a partition wall (2a) and juxtaposed in a lateral direction, the machine including a first auxiliary heat exchanger (11-1) and a second auxiliary heat exchanger (11-2) both of a latent heat recovery type connected to upstream sides of the first main heat exchanger and the second main heat exchanger, respectively, an exhaust system can be miniaturized and simplified in spite of provision of the auxiliary heat exchangers. A space in an exhaust hood (9) common to both the combustion sections (3-1, 3-2) arranged on the can body (2) is partitioned by a partition wall (9c) into a first exhaust space (10-1) and a second exhaust space (10-2) through which exhaust gases from the first and second burners (4-1, 4-2) flow, respectively. The first and second auxiliary heat exchangers (11-1, 11-2), each composed of laterally meandering heat absorbing tubes (11a), are arranged in the respective exhaust spaces.

    • A single can-type composite heat source machine including a single can body including a first combustion section having a first burner and a hot water supplying first main heat exchanger located above the first burner, and a second combustion section having a second burner and a second main heat exchanger located above the second burner and used for a purpose other than hot water supply. The first combustion section and the second combustion section are partitioned from each other by a partition wall and juxtaposed in a lateral direction. The machine includes a first auxiliary heat exchanger and a second auxiliary heat exchanger both of a latent heat recovery type connected to upstream sides of the first main heat exchanger and the second main heat exchanger, respectively.     • A flame hole member of a tubular burner has a front plate and a rear plate both of sheet metal make. The front plate has a first flame hole in the central portion of the front plate, and a plurality of second flame holes located around a periphery of the first flame hole, each of the second flame holes being of a slit shape in a width below a quenching distance. The rear plate has a first ventilation hole in the central portion of the rear plate, and a plurality of second ventilation holes of smaller diameter than the first ventilation hole, each of the second ventilation holes being located around a periphery of the first ventilation hole. At least one of the rear plate and the front plate is provided with a cylindrical section for introducing into the first flame hole.

    • A combustion device has tubular burners with mixing tubes made by joining together two plate members which have formed therein half-split mixing tubes at a distance from one another and which, when joined together, form a clearance serving as a carryover flame hole to communicate a mixing tube with an adjoining mixing tube. An intermediate flame hole portion is formed by recessing backward the front end of the carryover flame hole. A cover portion is formed in each of the two plate members so as to lie opposite to each other with a recessed space lying therebetween. The recessed space is defined as a space that is generated between the intermediate flame hole portion and a line that is drawn in front of the intermediate flame hole portion along the same longitudinal direction as the front end, except for the part of the intermediate flame hole portion.
