摘要： A recording sheet package includes a stack of plural recording sheets. A packaging body contains the recording sheets. The packaging body or the recording sheets include humidity and temperature indicators which allows the degradation of the recording sheets to be compensated for in the course of thermal printing. A detection cutout is formed in the packaging body, for receiving insertion of a sheet remainder counter. The sheet remainder counter is allowed to push the recording sheets in a thickness direction thereof. The sheet remainder counter is adapted to detect a number of remaining ones of the recording sheets in the packaging body.

摘要： A thermal printer is provided with a head shift mechanism for shifting a thermal head and an optical fixer shift mechanism for shifting an optical fixer. The head shift mechanism shifts the thermal head between a recording position to press a recording paper and to thermally record an image, and a retreat position retreating from a transport path of the recording paper. The optical fixer shift mechanism shifts the optical fixer between a fixing position facing the transport path to emit fixing light to a recorded image, and a retreat position retreating from the transport path. The fixing position is in approximately the same space as the recording position of the thermal head. A system controller controls the head shift mechanism and the optical fixer shift mechanism to selectively shift the thermal head and the optical fixer to the recording position or the fixing position.

摘要： A mechanism for supporting a head carriage provided with a magnetic head to magnetically record still image information or the like into a magnetic disc or reproduce such information therefrom. In the support mechanism, the two ends of a lead screw having a threaded portion almost in the center portion thereof are respectively received by two bearings each having two, substantially perpendicularly intersecting surfaces, and the head carriage, which can be guided and moved by the lead screw, is also provided with two, substantially perpendicularly intersecting surfaces touchable with a shaft of the lead screw. By energizing the head carriage in a given direction by a spring, the head carriage two intersecting surfaces can be brought into contact with the lead screw and the lead screw can be brought into contact with the intersecting surfaces of the respective bearings.
