    • A method for reproducing a scene by a time shift is provided in which, by transferring a bookmark created by one viewer to an other viewer, the other viewer can also see a scene that the one viewer desires to see and the scene that the one viewer desires to see can be seen commonly together with the other viewer. To reproduce a recorded moving picture, a scene worthy of note is accessed by using the bookmark. When moving picture information is recorded, picture recording time of a specified screen region is stored in a manner that picture recording actual time of a desired scene is associated with the bookmark and, when reproduction is made, access is made to the scene based on time between picture recording actual time of the scene and of the specified picture screen region and image information of the specified picture screen.

    • An image reading apparatus (X) includes a light source, a case (2) for accommodating the light source, and a substrate (8) mounted to the case (8). A plurality of sensor IC chips (7) for detecting the light traveling from an image reading region are mounted on the substrate (8). The sensor IC chips (7) are arranged at positions closer to a second side edge (8b) than to a first side edge (8a) of the substrate. A predetermined wiring pattern is formed on the substrate (8). The sensor IC chips (7) are electrically connected to the wiring pattern via wires (W). The wires (W) are connected to the wiring pattern by extending from the upper surface of the sensor IC chips (7) toward the first side edge (8a) of the substrate.

    • An analog image signal from an input terminal 101 is converted in an ADC 102 to digital data, then stored in a frame memory 103, then subjected to compression processing in a compression processing module 104, and then recorded in a recorder 105. The compressed data recorded in the recorder 105 is read out, then subjected to decompression processing in a decompression processing module 106, and then stored in a frame memory 107. The operation of the compression processing module 104 is controlled by a frame rate controller 110. Thus, the problem of frame data drop-out or reproducing processing delay occurrence when it becomes unable to obtain full frame real time frame capturing, real time compression and real time decompression due to CPU performance insufficiency is solved.

    • In a serial type printing apparatus which forms an image with a given dot pitch (P.sub.D) in the sheet feed direction, a print head is provided which includes a plurality (n) of dot marking parts arranged with an arrangement pitch (P.sub.N =M.sub.N P.sub.D) that is the dot pitch multiplied by an integer number (m.sub.N). After termination of one print scanning step by the print head, a sheet is fed with sheet feed pitches (P.sub.F1, P.sub.F2) that are larger than the arrangement pitch P.sub.N but smaller than a width ((n-1)P.sub.N) across which the plurality of dot marking parts are arranged, thus width also being the dot pitch multiplied by an integer number. According to such a printing method, the sheet feed can be equalized to suppress banding appearing as a seam extending in the scanning direction at the boundary between the adjacent printed areas due to the precision of a sheet feed mechanism.
