    • A display device according to the present invention includes: a plurality of pixels arranged in matrix; photoelectric elements being provided in each of the pixels and each outputting a signal with a value according to the quantity of light received by the photoelectric element, the photoelectric elements forming photoelectric element groups (PDs(n)) in each of which the photoelectric elements arranged along a one-dimensional direction are grouped; and resetting wirings (Vrts(n+1)), each of which is connected to the anode side electrodes of the photoelectric elements in the corresponding one (PDs(n)) of the photoelectric element groups commonly, and is shared by an adjacent one (PDs(n+1)) of the photoelectric element groups. This configuration makes it possible to provide such a display device having a pixel including an optical sensor incorporated therein, that is not affected by the resolution and the performance of an output AMP and is capable of preventing a decrease in the aperture ratio of the pixel.

    • It is an object of the present invention to provide a display device equipped with a display panel that is provided with a photo-detection section with improved accuracy of detecting a touch position. A display panel (11) of an organic EL display device (10) includes a photo-detection section (40) that detects reflected light when a screen is touched by a finger or the like. The photo-detection section (40) includes a photodiode (41) that receives the reflected light, and an output amplifier (42) that outputs an output voltage corresponding to the amount of the received light. If an a-Si diode is used for such a photodiode (41), a sufficiently large signal difference in sensitivity between the bright state and the dark state can be achieved. Also, if a p-Si amplifier is used for the output amplifier (42), the output voltage becomes the saturation voltage at the time of read-out. This allows the p-Si amplifier to directly output the large sensitivity difference detected by the a-Si diode as a large difference in the output voltage.

    • A liquid crystal display device of the present invention includes a two-dimensional sensor array in which optical sensor circuits are two-dimensionally positioned. The respective optical sensor circuits are provided with a photodiode (17), an output AMP and a NetA voltage raising capacitor. The output AMP has a gate electrode, a source electrode and a drain electrode. The gate electrode, the source electrode and the drain electrode are connected to a cathode electrode (NetA) of the photodiode (17), a voltage supply wiring (Vsm) and an optical sensor output wiring (Vom), respectively. The NetA voltage raising capacitor has two electrodes. One of the two electrodes is electrically connected to the NetA, and the other of the two electrodes is electrically connected to a drive wiring (Vrwn) for supplying a drive signal to the NetA voltage raising capacitor. A storage capacitor wiring (Csn) for retaining a pixel potential also serves as the drive wiring (Vrwn). It is accordingly possible to attain a liquid crystal display device including the optical sensor circuits in which deterioration in aperture ratio of a pixel and increase in frame region surrounding a display section are suppressed.
