摘要： Disclosed is a device for producing embroidery pattern stitch data, wherein a pattern or patterns may be entered or selected from a memory (3) and the like and optionally positioned. It is discriminated if the selected pattern or patterns may be wholly received in a predetermined stitch area. If the selected pattern or patterns may not be wholly received in the stitch area and partly extend beyond the stitch area, print data may be produced for printing the selected pattern or patterns, and simultaneously for printing reference marks defining the positions and angles of the patterns relative to the work holding frame for holding the work to be stitched.

摘要： An original picture pattern to be produced with an embroidering machine may be seen through a transparent touch panel of an input device detachably connected to the embroidering machine. By simply tracing the coutour lines of the pattern with a stylus pen, the coordinates of substantially continuous points of the pattern may be inputted. A series of the coordinate data thus inputted is converted to another series of the coordinate data representing actual stitch points of a pattern to be produced on the fabric as a boldfaced duplicate of the original picture. Each line of the pattern may be boldfaced with zigzag stitches extending over a selectable amplitude or with multiplicated straightaway stitches formed by a repeated straight line producing operation.

A thread guide is disposed adjacent a certain one of the plurality of feed dog elements for guiding the lower thread to a predetermined side of the swinging needle each time the feed dog member is vertically moved.

摘要： A sewing machine comprises a thread deflecting device arranged between a thread take-up lever and a needle and which in response to a swinging movement of a needle bar effected in response to selection of a zigzag stitch, deflects the upper thread laterally of a fabric feeding direction. A thread blocking device is provided on one side of the thread deflecting device. The sewing machine further comprises an actuator operated in response to actuation of a zigzag stitch pattern selecting key to move the thread blocking device to an operative position thereof. The thread blocking device in the operative position blocks the upper thread as it is deflected in one direction by the thread deflecting device to give a predetermined degree of tension to the upper thread, so that the stitch is tightened on one side of the zigzag stitch in addition to the tightening of the stitch by a thread take-up lever.
