摘要： A liquid electro-photographic printing system, comprising: a binary ink developer assembly, a power supply arrangement, a switching arrangement, and a controller. The binary ink developer assembly includes a plurality of members defining a flow path for a printing fluid containing charged particles, the plurality of members including a first member and a second member that are arranged to generate an electric field therebetween, the first member having a plurality of segments. The power supply arrangement continuously provides a supply of voltages during a print operation, the voltages including a first voltage and a second voltage having a different voltage level from that of the first voltage. The switching arrangement switches the supply of voltages to the segments of the first member on an individual segment basis, to cause charged particles to be attracted to the first member in the individual segment when the first voltage is supplied to the individual segment and to cause charged particles to be repelled from the first member in the individual segment when the second voltage is supplied to the individual segment. The controller to determine timing of when to switch the supply of voltages to the segments.

摘要： During a print cycle of a print apparatus, a liquid print agent including a carrier fluid is applied to a photoconductive surface. A proportion of the carrier fluid in the liquid print agent on the photoconductive surface is reduced at a first location by removably collecting a portion of the carrier fluid from the liquid print agent applied to the photoconductive surface. During a non-print cycle of the print apparatus, the removably collected portion of the carrier fluid is added to the photoconductive surface at the first location.

The carrier liquid is caused to move through a container via a carrier liquid flow path to sequentially encounter a set of accumulation elements. Each accumulation element is situated between adjacent walls. A voltage is applied to the electrode to generate an electric field between the electrode surface and the set of accumulation elements. The electric field causes contaminant from the carrier liquid to adhere to the set of accumulation elements.

An electric field formed between the first surface and the accumulation surface of each plate of the plurality of plates may act on the liquid carrier, to thereby cause non-liquid contaminant to adhere to an accumulation surface of a plate of the plurality of plates. A method and a print apparatus are also disclosed.
