The exhaust lines of engine cylinders are grouped into separate manifolds connected to respective inlet ducts of the twin-flow turbine. The inlet ducts of the twin-flow turbine are of different sizes, with different-sized cross sections and/or different-sized exhaust-gas volumes. The exhaust line of a manifold with a smaller exhaust-gas volume is connected to the larger inlet duct, and the exhaust line of a manifold with the larger exhaust-gas volume is connected to the smaller inlet duct.
