    • The radio antenna arrangement for establishing a radio link with terrestrial radio stations includes a group of antennas (10) mounted on an inclined window pane (1) of a particular electrically conductive motor vehicle body, each of the antennas (10) including an antenna element (3) mounted outside of an interior of the vehicle body (8) and on the window pane perpendicular to it; an antenna counterweight (4) mounted on the inclined window pane, the antennas (10) together forming a group antenna with a group antenna connection point (6); and a network (7) containing the group antenna connection point (6), the antennas being radiatively coupled to each other by high-frequency radiation and at least one antenna (10) having an antenna element connection point (2) connecting it with the network (7). The network (7) is designed to provide a permanently set phase and amplitude relationship for base point feed currents fed to the respective antenna elements (3) depending on the particular motor vehicle body, their values set at least partially by electrical connections to and within the network (7) and, optionally, by loading terminal pairs (27) associated with the antenna element connection points (2) with reactance in such a way that contractions in the horizontal emission density are minimized.

    • A radiotelephone system for motor vehicles, having a group antenna system with a plurality of antenna elements, and a mobile radiotelephone with a high-frequency input for receiving radio signals. The group antenna system contains controllable phase and/or amplitude adjusting elements, which are set so that a directed reception with a main receiving direction is available. The controllable phase and/or amplitude adjusting elements are controlled by a processor for tracking the main receiving direction azimuthally in the direction of a fixed station with the help of a tracking signal. Controllable switching-elements for reversing antenna signals for diversity reception are integrated in the signal paths of the group antenna system so that the azimuthal main direction of reception is tracked with a defined tracking by setting a combination of the switching positions of the controllable switching elements. Thus, the antenna reception patterns are changed when the switches of the controllable switching elements are changed, and a changed received signal is available in each case on the high-frequency input of the mobile radiotelephone. When a reception interference is detected, a diversity processor selects from the possible combinations of switching positions, another combination to reduce or eliminate interference.

    • The invention relates to a diversity reception system for motor vehicles for digitally modulated terrestrial and/or satellite radio signals in the frequency range above 1 GHz. The system includes an antenna arrangement of which the reception signal is supplied to a radio receiver. The antenna arrangement is designed as an antenna system having several individual antennas and several antenna components, and contains a controllable logic switching device. The individual antennas and the several antenna components are positioned on the vehicle so that for discrete switching positions of the controllable logic switch, reception signals that are different in terms of diversity are available at the antenna connection point. A reception level testing device is provided for the comparative determination of the reception level contained in the data flow in the HF-channel with an HF channel bandwidth B. The level testing device is designed so that when initiated by the symbol cycle generated in the receiver and during the simultaneously occurring symbol identification of the received flow of data, the reception level is determined in each case within the shortest possible level testing duration.

    • An antenna for a diversity antenna system in a vehicle for mounting within the zone of a window pane surrounded by the electrically conductive body of the vehicle, consisting of a rear window pane having a substantially rectangularly or trapezoidally shaped surface and electrically conductors applied to the surface. A conductive surface in terms of high frequency, and coherent with respect to its edge conductors (12) is formed within the rear window pane. The edge conductors (12) are insulated at high frequencies from the vehicle ground so that each edge conductor (12) of a side of the conductive surface (1) has a minimum length of about &lgr;/10. At least one zone of the edge conductors (12) is provided in the form of a low-resistance coupling conductor (12a) with a continuous minimum length of about &lgr;/10. The antenna, formed out of the conductive surface, has a pair of terminals with a vehicle ground connection point (2) and an antenna connection point (5) on one of the low-resistance coupling conductors (12a). The pair of terminals is connected to a connection network (4). Furthermore, at least one electronically controllable impedance network (6) is provided, and an impedance connection point (8) is formed, which is coupled to the antenna connection point (5) via the low-resistance coupling conductor (12a). The antenna is coupled to a radio receiver and a rectangular window pane of an automobile serving a dual purpose in also providing a heating to the window.
