    • An antenna for circular polarization having an electrical dipole radiator which is oriented essentially parallel to an electrically conductive base surface in a plane of symmetry SE oriented perpendicular to the electrically conductive base surface. The dipole is in connection with a slot radiator which is configured in an electrically conductive base surface, with its longitudinal expanse along the intersection line between the plane of symmetry SE and the electrically conductive base surface. The slot radiator connection location is formed by means of connection points situated at the longitudinal edges and lying opposite one another. The electrical dipole radiator and the slot radiator are tuned to one another in their resonance frequencies. The slot radiator and the electrical dipole radiator with dipole feed line are connected with the antenna connection location by way of a combining network, in terms of magnitude and phase, in such a manner that circular polarization exists in the remote field at the frequency at which the radiators are tuned to one another.

    • An antenna rod for a rod antenna arrangement on a vehicle body, which serves as the ground of the rod antenna arrangement, for electromechanical connection with the electromechanical base connector of a low plastic base part. This base connector is affixed to the vehicle body which part contains the further antenna circuit that is connected to the electromechanical base connector. The antenna rod contains a plastic rod to which an antenna coil is applied. At the lower end of the plastic rod and parallel to its rod axis, an extended electrically conductive element is guided as a coupling conductor, for electromagnetic coupling to the antenna coil, with an overlap of multiple but at least two windings of the antenna coil. The coupling conductor is galvanically separated from the antenna coil by means of a low-loss insulator, to create capacitive coupling to the antenna coil. The coupling conductor, the low-loss insulator, and the antenna rod are connected with one another in mechanically firm manner. The coupling conductor is equipped, at its lower end, with an electromechanical connecting element, for connecting to the electromechanical base connector.

    • An antenna for reception of satellite radio signals emitted circularly in the direction of rotation of polarization has a conductive base surface, an antenna connection point, an antenna element connection point and at least two antenna elements. The first antenna element is a loop antenna formed as a conductor loop disposed substantially parallel but spaced apart from the base surface. The loop antenna has a plurality of capacitors disposed along the conductor loop. The antenna connection point is coupled to at least one interruption of the loop antenna. This connection point is configured to feed a ring current into the loop antenna. There is also at least one additional antenna element extending between the antenna element connection point and the loop antenna. There is at least one antenna output connector linearly polarized in a spatial direction and a plurality of networks forming a matching network and a phase shifter network configured to connect the antenna elements to at least one antenna output connector. The antenna element connection point and the loop antenna are coupled to each other by the two networks. In reciprocal operation of the antenna, the radiation fields of the loop antenna and of the additional antenna element are superimposed with different phases in a far field of the antenna. The additional antenna element has a polarization orientated substantially perpendicular to the polarization of the loop antenna and an essentially orthogonal phase in the far field.

    • Antenna for radio reception, which is disposed, for reception of frequencies above the high-frequency range, in a motor vehicle window, in an electrically conductive vehicle body, together with an imprinted heating field, which field extends into the vicinity of the upper window edge, and comprises horizontally disposed heating conductors and bus bars situated at the side edges of the heating field, for supplying the direct current for heating by way of high-frequency-insulating uncoupling networks, whereby at least one antenna is formed by means of connecting this heating field to an antenna connection contact, by way of a conductor. A rod antenna with an antenna connection contact in the antenna foot point, with electrical through-coupling of the reception signals into the vehicle interior, is present on the outer skin of the vehicle and affixed in the vicinity of the upper window edge, for the reception of signals both for low frequencies and above the high-frequency range. The antenna connection contact of the rod antenna and the at least one antenna connection contact on the motor vehicle window pane, as well as the ground connection to the metallic vehicle body, are combined in the spatial region of an antenna connection point of at least two diversity antennas, for frequencies above the high-frequency range, and the geometrical expanse of this antenna connection point is smaller than 1/15 of the wavelength in this frequency range. An antenna module is present within the region of the antenna connection point, in which all the electronic components required for signal amplification in both frequency ranges are contained, and to which module the reception signals of the antenna connection contacts are passed by way of connection lines, and to the ground connection, and whose output signals in both frequency ranges are passed to a receiver, by way of a shielded HF line.

    • An antenna diversity system for receiving frequency-modulated (FM) radio signals with the phase-controlled summation of antenna signals for motor vehicles equipped with a multi-antenna system having at least two antenna output signals, and a receiver with an input for each of a first and a second received signal path, wherein the second of the two received signal paths contains a phase-shifter controlled by a phase-controller. The received signal has the same phase on the output of the phase-shifter as in the first signal path. The two received signals are added up in a phase-coincident manner in a summation circuit, and the added-up signal is supplied to the FM frequency modulator. The multi-antenna system contains a controllable logic circuit, so that a received signal that is different in terms of diversity, is supplied in each case to at least one of the two inputs of the receiver in different switching positions assumed by the selector switches, and the added-up signal is supplied to an interference detector for extremely rapid detection of an added-up signal disturbed by a frequency swing. Thus, in the presence of a reception interference, the interference-detecting signal of the interference detector actuates the logic switching device to another switching position, and wherein the phase-controller serves as a low-pass filter for limiting the speed of the phase control.

The interruption points are bridged by low-loss, frequency-dependent reactance circuits (8), in order for the combination antenna arrangement to function. These circuits possess a sufficiently high impedance in the frequency range of the first service and an impedance that is predetermined for proper functioning for the frequency range of the frequency range of the additional communication services.

    • A scanning antenna diversity system for motor vehicles having at least two antennas mounted in a multi-antenna installation, and connected to a switching logic circuit. The circuit has discrete switching positions, and a reversing position USmax. A receiver is coupled to logic circuitry for receiving a RF signal from one of switching positions or reversing position USmax. There is a diversity processor coupled to and controlled by receiver for producing a derived received signal from the RF signal, with diversity processor cyclically stepping the logic circuitry to another switching position during the presence of receiver interference. There is a maximum level indicator having its input coupled to the antennas, and having its output connected to the controllable logic circuitry for sensing the strongest actual levels of the antenna signals. Level indicator 39 continuously compares the received signals at antennas and activates the logic switching circuit in response to any interference.
