    • A step-up power supply circuit is provided with a rectifying diode D1 to which a predetermined voltage Vcc is applied from a power supply 16, a capacitor CD1 connected in series with the rectifying diode D1, a rectifying diode D2 connected to a joint point between the rectifying diode D1 and the capacitor CD1,a capacitor CD2 connected in series with the rectifying diode D2. A trapezoidal wave signal SD produced by a triangular wave generating circuit 7, an amplifier 8, and a drive unit 9 is applied to the capacitor CD1 so as to turn ON/OFF the rectifying diodes D1 and D2. As a result, a voltage substantially equal to a voltage Vcc is produced across the capacitor CD1,and a step-up voltage HVcc approximately two times higher than the voltage Vcc is produced across the capacitor CD2. Since the rectifying diodes D1 and D2 are turned ON/OFF in response to the trapezoidal signal SD having the small RF component, the occurrence of the switching noise from the rectifying diodes D1 and D2 can be suppressed.

    • A differential amplifier comprises: first and second transistors the emitters of which are connected to each other through a resistance element; a third transistor to the emitter of which a current equal to the collector current of the first transistor is applied; and a fourth transistor to the emitter of which a current equal to the collector current of the second transistor is applied. Signals provided at the emitters of the third and fourth transistors, after being level-shifted, are supplied to the bases of the second and first transistors, respectively. Thereby, a differential amplifier which is linear in transfer characteristic and large in input dynamic range is obtained.

    • An amplifier device comprises an amplifier circuit, a differential amplifier for amplifying the difference between an input and an output of the amplifier circuit with an amplification degree which is substantially equal to one, and an addition circuit for adding an input signal to an output signal of the differential amplifier circuit and applying the result of addition to the input terminal of the amplifier circuit. Thereby, the distortion of the amplifier circuit is eliminated, and the input signal and the output signal coincide with each other. Hence, by applying the technical concept of the invention to an amplifier with a feedback loop, the distortion factor can be reduced without the increasing of the amount of feedback.
