    • In the reaction of catalytic gas phase oxidation induced by the supply of at least a raw material to be oxidized and a molecular oxygen-containing gas to a reactor for catalytic gas phase oxidation, a method for starting up the reactor for catalytic gas phase oxidation is disclosed which is characterized by causing the raw material and the molecular oxygen-containing gas to pass a range in which the concentration of the raw material is less than the lower explosion limit of the raw material and the concentration of oxygen is not less than the limiting oxygen concentration, but excluding the concentration of the raw material of 0 vol. %. The method enables the reactor to be started up economically and safely by avoiding the explosion range induced by the composition of a raw material and a molecular oxygen-containing gas supplied to the reactor and decreasing the amount of a diluting gas to be supplied.

    • A driving force transmission apparatus includes: a first cam mechanism that converts rotational force from a housing into first cam thrust force used as clutch force of a main clutch when the first cam mechanism is actuated through clutch action of a pilot clutch; and a second cam mechanism that is actuated prior to conversion of the rotational force into the first cam thrust force by the first cam mechanism, and that generates second cam thrust force for reducing an interval between clutch plates of the main clutch. The second cam mechanism includes an input cam member that rotates upon receiving rotational force used as actuating force of the input cam member from a cam actuating driving source, and an output cam member that generates the second cam thrust force between the output cam member and the input cam member and outputs the second cam thrust force.

    • A differential apparatus has a planet carrier 2A rotated by driving torque from a driving source, a planetary gear 2B rotated for self-rotation around its own axis by receiving rotational force of the planet carrier 2A, a sun gear 2C and an internal gear 2D differentially distributing the rotational force to a pair of output shafts by receiving the rotational force of the planet carrier 2A from the planetary gear 2B, and a differential restricting mechanism 2 having an inner clutch plates 3A and an outer clutch plates 3B restricting a differential of the differential mechanism 3.
