    • A lid mechanism for a dishwasher having an least one washing unit provided with a lid includes at least one bracket that can be mounted to one of an outer support body and opposing side edge portions of a lid. The bracket includes a pin element that extends laterally outwardly from the bracket. The lid mechanism further includes at least one guide member that can be mounted to another of the outer support body and the opposing side edge portions of the lid. The guide member establishes a cam member and a guide track which cooperates with the pin element to raise and lower the lid relative to the washing unit. A spring is provided to biase the lid in a direction away from the washing unit.

A dispenser is mounted to one of the front, rear and opposing side walls and includes a detergent storage portion that is selectively exposed to release detergent into the washing chamber. The lid includes a dispenser rinse system having an inlet portion and an outlet portion, with the outlet portion guiding a flow of water from the lid onto the dispenser to wash out the detergent storage portion and fill the washing chamber. The outlet portion is preferably provided with a shaped contour and a wall that ensures that the all detergent is washed out from the dispenser.

    • A float mounting plate is provided for a dishwasher to limit the level of water in the dishwasher tub. The float has a stem extending downwardly through a stand pipe in the bottom of the tub and into a switch bracket which houses the water level control switch. A tab is provided on the switch bracket which is adapted to extend around the float stem, thereby slidably retaining the retainer ring of the stem for engagement and disengagement with the switch, and limiting lateral or horizontal movement of the stem. In one embodiment, the tab is integrally formed with the bracket, with a living hinge allowing the tab to pivot between open and closed positions. In a second embodiment, the tab snap fits onto the bracket to capture the float stem.

    • A converter 10 has an IGBT power switch 34. A resonant tank circuit 30 couples the IGBT to a voltage source. A gate controller turns the IGBT on and off by applying a suitable gate control voltage to the gate. The resonant tank circuit imposes a sinusoidal waveform on the emitter current. After the emitter current reverses direction, the gate signal is terminated and the IGBT is shut off. Minority carriers in the emitter are swept away by the tank circuit and are further deposited in a transformer that is coupled to the tank circuit.

    • A voltage regulator for regulation of automotive electrical generators and battery system. A generator is coupled through a rectifier to a voltage regulator and a battery. The regulator is activated by a low voltage level stator signal from the generator. The activation voltage level is set to an improved initial activation time when the generator starts to charge the battery while maintaining tolerance to rectifier leakage current. A feedback is included in the regulator to lower power dissipation during regulation and protect the regulator during a voltage surge.
