    • A lock adapted for use in automatic gear shifts and mounted in a gear shift head, including a core, a stop block, an escutcheon, and a cylinder. The core has latch bolts at either side, a keyway at a front end, and a projection at a rear end. The stop block has a stop hole at a front end for receiving the projection of the core, and a stop projection at a rear end. The escutcheon has an insertion hole at a front end, the insertion hole having a cross section comprised of an oval shape and a rectangular shape sized to match the stop block, a through hole at a rear end, and a lock post that passes through the through hole, the lock post including a head portion of a larger size and a press piece projecting from the rear end of the escutcheon. A spring is fitted over the press piece and that part of the lock post exposed on the outside of the rear end of the escutcheon. A lock spring is further provided on the escutcheon near the press piece and adapted to urge against the inner wall of the gear shift head. The position of said press piece corresponding to that end of a push button mounted inside the gear shift head. The cylinder has an opening at a front end for passage of a key, and a cylinder hole communicating with the opening for receiving the core. When the lock is unlocked, the press piece is pressed by the push button of the gear shift to displace and permits gear shifting. When the lock is locked, the gear shift is prevented from operation as the gear shift is stopped by the stop projection of the stop block.

    • A visual warning device has both a warning function to provide various colored flashing lights and a lighting function to adjustably project the lighting in preferable direction, which at least comprises a lighting device comprising an interior spotlight fixedly placed in the inside of the visual warning device and a beacon-like waterproof cover for mostly shielding the interior spotlight by outside exposure securely fastened onto the visual warning device, so that the interior spotlight has no required for an additional waterproof means pivotally mounted thereon as before; in particular, the interior spotlight further has both a vertical drive means and a horizontal drive means designed by uncovered structure, due to both the vertical drive means and the horizontal drive means unnecessarily concealed or placed in the inside of the interior spotlight as before, the interior spotlight has much simpler structure than before and more saving cost.

    • A learning-type remote control device is capable of detecting both carrier frequency and control code in a remote control signal that is transmitted by a target remote control device, and includes a variable-frequency oscillating unit for generating a carrier signal having a frequency which varies according to magnitude of a frequency control signal from a digital-to-analog converting unit, a mixing unit for generating a mixed signal by mixing the carrier signal and the remote control signal, a signal detecting unit for generating a detected frequency signal and a detected control signal from the mixed signal, and a processing unit operable in a learning mode to provide a varying frequency count input to the converting unit. The processing unit detects lower and upper sideband frequency counts based on when the detected frequency signal from the signal detecting unit reaches a preset threshold voltage to determine a frequency count that corresponds to the carrier frequency of the remote control signal. The processing unit further determines the control code in the remote control signal from the detected control signal of the signal detecting unit, and stores the frequency count and the control code determined thereby in a memory unit.
