摘要： Provided are treatment fluids and associated methods for removing metal sulfate scale. An example method includes introducing a treatment fluid into a wellbore comprising metal sulfate scale, wherein the treatment fluid comprises: a phosphonated aminocarboxylate; a carboxylated alkanol, a carboxylated alkyl halide, and/or a multicarboxylic acid; an anion; and an aqueous base fluid; wherein the treatment fluid has a pH in a range between about 7 to about 13. The method further includes contacting the metal sulfate scale with the treatment fluid; wherein the treatment fluid is allowed to remain static during the contacting; and removing the treatment fluid from the wellbore.

Methods for removing inorganic scale can comprise: introducing a descaling agent comprising an N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid or any salt thereof into a wellbore in fluid communication with a particulate pack, an inorganic scale being present in the wellbore or in the particulate pack; contacting the descaling agent with the particulate pack and the inorganic scale; and removing at least a portion of the inorganic scale using the N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid or any salt thereof without substantially affecting the particulate pack.

摘要： In a subterranean formation, complexation of metal ions can often be desirable in order to mitigate reactivity of the metal ions. However, many chelating agents used for this purpose are commercially manufactured in an alkali metal salt form that may not be entirely suitable for use downhole. The working pH range of some types of chelating agents may also be limiting. Accordingly, methods for treating a subterranean formation can comprise: providing an acidic treatment fluid comprising a sulfonated iminodiacetic acid; introducing the acidic treatment fluid into a subterranean formation; and at least partially dissolving an acid-reactive substance in the subterranean formation while complexing one or more metal ions with the sulfonated iminodiacetic acid.

摘要： Certain metal surfaces are often unable to be effectively contacted with fluids containing hydrofluoric acid due to significant corrosion issues. Titanium and titanium alloy surfaces represent but one example. Corrosion inhibitor compositions comprising an N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid or any salt thereof can be used to suppress metal corrosion, including that taking place on titanium and titanium alloy surfaces. Methods for suppressing corrosion of a metal surface can comprise: contacting a metal surface with a corrosive environment, the corrosive environment comprising hydrofluoric acid; introducing a corrosion inhibitor composition to the corrosive environment, the corrosion inhibitor composition comprising an N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid or any salt thereof; contacting the metal surface with the corrosion inhibitor composition; and allowing the corrosion inhibitor composition to suppress corrosion of the metal surface being contacted by the corrosive environment.

Methods for treating water and forming a fracturing fluid therefrom can comprise: providing a metal-laden water comprising a quantity of one or more metal ions; combining an N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid or a salt thereof with the metal-laden water to form a remediated water, the remediated water comprising the N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid, the salt thereof, a metal complex thereof or a combination thereof; and formulating the remediated water into a fracturing fluid comprising a gelled polymer.
