摘要： The present invention is directed to a method for improving the performance of an electrophoretic display, which method comprises adding a fluorinated quaternary nitrogen salt in either the internal phase or the continuous phase in a microencapsulation process for the formation of pigment-containing microparticles. One or more of the following materials may be further added to the internal phase or continuous phase in the microencapsulation process: a fluorinated protective colloid, a second charge controlling agent or a second monomer or oligomer.

摘要： This invention relates to electrophoretic displays having improved performance. The threshold promoter of the present invention may induce or significantly enhance the threshold effect by improving the particle-particle interaction and/or the particle-electrode interaction. The promoter may be present in the system as a soluble or micelle molecule in the electrophoretic fluid or an adsorbed or chemically bonded molecule on the surface of particles. The use of such a threshold promoter does not show a detrimental effect on the display switching rate.

摘要： An abrasion-resistant transfer printing structure to transfer patterns and texts to a targeted object surface by press printing includes a hardened protecting layer and a release base layer. The hardened protection layer includes a first surface and a second surface. The first surface allows a transfer printing glue to be bonded to the targeted object to cover at least an area corresponding to the patterns and texts. The release base layer is located on the second surface of the hardened protection layer by a releasable manner and can be separated from the hardened protection layer by applying a release force after the press printing process is finished. Thus the hardened protection layer is exposed to isolate the patterns and texts from in contact with the exterior. The surface of the targeted object also is abrasion resistant.

The housing defines a bottom wall (10) and a sidewall (11) extending from the bottom wall, which form a receiving room (12). The housing further defines a spring wall (14). The spring wall can elastically deform for positioning a battery or releasing a battery. A protecting wall (17) is defined around the spring wall, and a predetermined distance is formed between the protecting wall and the spring wall. While the spring wall is forced to deform, the protecting wall can stop the deforming process of the spring wall and thus can protect the spring wall from breakage.
