    • In transmitting a device trigger message operation, a core network device receives a device trigger message sent by a first device, where the device trigger message includes information that indicates validity time of the device trigger message; when it is determined that a timer exists, compares the validity time with duration of the timer; if the validity time is greater than the duration of the timer, sends the device trigger message to a user equipment UE after the timer times out; and if the validity time is not greater than the duration of the timer, sends a message to the first device and/or discarding the device trigger message, where the message is used to indicate that triggering is rejected, or transmission fails, or device triggering fails.

    • The present invention discloses a local network and a method for establishing a connection between a local gateway and a home base station therein. As regards a newly proposed home base station network architecture 1, a mobility management network element receives L-GW information sent by the home base station, selects an L-GW which is located in the same local network as the home base station at least according to the received L-GW information and then informs the L-GW, through an S-GW, of establishing a PDN connection and a tunnel bearer with the home base station, thereby providing a local IP access for a UE. As regards a newly proposed home base station network architecture 2, no direct interface is arranged between the L-GW and the S-GW, the mobility management network element directly selects a corresponding L-GW for establishing a PDN connection for the UE.

    • The present invention discloses a mobility management method, a serving GPRS support node (SGSN) or a mobility management entity (MME), and a terminal. Setting or dynamically modifying the mobility management frequency of a particular terminal among numerous terminals is enabled. The technical solution of the present invention includes: obtaining subscription data of a terminal, where the subscription data carries periodic update setting information; obtaining a periodic update interval of the terminal according to the periodic update setting information; sending the periodic update interval to the terminal; and setting a value that is a longer than the periodic update interval of the terminal as a mobile reachable interval for monitoring the periodic update of the terminal.
