    • A receiver for receiving a composite signal including a first information signal, such as for instance, a number of video signals representing a number of still pictures, second information signal, such as for instance, pulse code modulated time division multiplex mutli-channel audio signals, control signal including information for processing above mentioned two signals in the receiver, and necessary synchronizing signals required for the reproduction of the above mentioned three signals being transmitted sequentially in a predetermined sequence, wherein during transmission period of said second information signal the signals to be reproduced in the same period are inserted in the composite signal as real signals and signals to be reproduced in the period when said second information signal is not transmitted are inserted in the composite signal as memory signals, and for continuously reproducing said second information signal which has been selected. The receiver comprises a means for selecting said control signal, a means for producing a signal for identifying real or memory of said second information signal by using the above mentioned selected control signal and for designating the same, a means for gating the real signal and the memory signal, a memory means for memorizing the memory signal, a means for supplying output signal of the designating means to said gate means, a means for storing the memory signal gated out by the gate means in the memory means and for reproducing the real signal immediately, and a means for reproducing the stored memory signal after delaying the same so as to form a continuous reproduced signal succeeding to the directly reproduced real signal.

    • An apparatus for reproducing a plurality of synchronizing signals from a composite signal including said plurality of synchronizing signals of different repetition frequencies and phases. The composite signal includes first and second synchronizing signals which are included in video and audio signals at different repetition frequencies and are necessary for reproducing the video and audio signals arranged in accordance with a predetermined sequence. These first and second synchronizing signals are so included that these phases are identical with each other at a common division frequency of these synchronizing signal frequencies. The composite signal further includes a third synchronizing signal which is included at least in boundaries between the video and audio signals. This third synchronizing signals has a frequency which is equal to said common division repetition frequency of said first and second synchronizing signals and is included at a position where the phases of the first and second synchronizing signals are identical with each other. The apparatus for reproducing the above mentioned synchronizing signals comprises means for detecting and reproducing a predetermined one of said first and second synchronizing signals from the composite signal, means for detecting and reproducing said third synchronizing signal and means for reproducing the other of said first and second synchronizing signals with using the previously reproduced two synchronizing signals.

    • A receiver for a composite signal consisting of video and audio multiplex signals intermittently transmitted in a predetermined sequence and having synchronizing signals with a blanking period and different repetition frequencies in the video signal period and the audio multiplex signal period, wherein the synchronizing signals are so composed as to have an identical mode at least for a part thereof at a common measure frequency of the two different repetition frequencies. The receiver comprises a gate circuit, a coincidence circuit for producing a coincidence signal when a signal having a mode identical with the mode of the synchronizing signal at the common measure frequency is supplied, a coincidence confirming circuit having a certain level exceeding a predetermined level when said coincidence signal is supplied regularly, a means for producing first and second signals having a phase controlled by said coincidence signal and having said two repetition frequencies respectively and a third signal having frequency of the common measure or common multiple frequency of said two repetition frequencies, and a means for operating a gate circuit by said third signal only when a coincidence confirming signal is supplied and for controlling said gate circuit to pass the composite signal during a period. The receiver further comprises means for detecting a blanking period by said third signal and a means for controlling gain of the receiver in accordance with the detected level. The receiver still further comprises means for fixing the level of the blanking period by using a part of the blanking period a predetermined fixed level.
