    • A child vehicle seat includes a seat portion and a headrest assembly. The headrest assembly defines at least one belt aperture. The headrest assembly is movable in relation to the seat portion between an upper position and a lower position. The child vehicle seat further includes a harness system including (i) at least one shoulder belt portion extending through the at least one belt aperture defined in the headrest assembly, and (ii) a crotch belt assembly that is movable in relation to the seat portion between an extended position and a retracted position. Movement of the headrest assembly in relation to the seat portion from the upper position to the lower position causes the crotch belt assembly to move from the extended position to the retracted position.

    • A child vehicle seat includes a first shell portion defining a first aperture and a second aperture, and a second shell portion including a seat portion, the second shell portion being positioned in relation to the first shell portion so as to define a space therebetween. The child seat further includes a first strap extending within the space and out of the first aperture defined in the first shell portion, and a second strap extending within the space and out of the second aperture defined in the first shell portion. In addition, the child seat includes a first retractor assembly positioned within the space and configured to receive portions of the first strap, the first retractor assembly being operable to bias the first strap toward the first retractor assembly, and a second retractor assembly positioned within the space and configured to receive portions of the second strap, the second retractor assembly being operable to bias the second strap toward the second retractor assembly. Moreover, the child vehicle seat includes a first actuator positionable between (i) a first position in which the first actuator prevents payout of the first strap from the first retractor assembly, and (ii) a second position in which the first actuator allows payout of the first strap from the first retractor assembly, and a second actuator positionable between (i) a third position in which the second actuator prevents payout of the second strap from the second retractor assembly, and (ii) a fourth position in which the second actuator allows payout of the second strap from the second retractor assembly.

The child vehicle seat further includes a harness system including (i) a first shoulder belt portion extending through the first belt passage, and (ii) a second shoulder belt portion extending through the second belt passage. Also, the child vehicle seat includes a retractor assembly configured to receive belt portions of the harness system in a wound configuration, the retractor assembly including a spring which urges belt portions of the harness system into the retractor assembly. Moreover, the child vehicle seat includes an actuator positionable between (i) a first position in which the actuator prevents payout of belt portions from the retractor assembly, and (ii) a second position in which the actuator allows payout of belt portions from the retractor assembly. The retractor assembly further includes a manual adjustment mechanism, and manual movement of the manual adjustment mechanism causes further belt portions of the harness system to be advanced into the retractor assembly.

    • A floating sleeve bearing assembly for supporting the shaft of an electric motor, the shaft having an axis of rotation and the motor having a stator. The sleeve bearing assembly includes a bearing having therein a bore for receiving the shaft. The bearing has a plurality of cylindrical outer surface portions that are centered on respective axes which are substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation and which all lie in the same plane substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The sleeve bearing assembly also includes a bearing support bracket having an axis and including a main body fixable relative to the stator. The bracket further includes a plurality of circuitously spaced resilient projections extending from the main body and generally parallel to the bracket axis. Each of the projections has an inwardly facing surface which is convex at the intersection of the surface with a plane substantially perpendicular to the bracket axis, and is concave at the intersection of the surface with a plane including the bracket axis. Together, the projections define a socket centered on the bracket axis for housing the bearing, such that each projection engages a respective one of the cylindrical outer surface portions so as to allow angular movement of the bearing within the socket to compensate for axial misalignment between the axis of rotation and the bracket axis, while at the same time substantially preventing rotation of the bearing about the axis of rotation.
