    • Provided are improved systems, methods, and devices for downloading content using a second transport protocol within a generic content download protocol, such as using a FLUTE session to download content within a DLOTA session. The DLOTA download descriptor file can point to a media object which is a FLUTE session descriptor file. The DLOTA session permits the FLUTE session to occur before sending an install notification, or content download notification. This type of binding permits users to receive multicast and broadcast unidirectional content delivery masked by a generic content download protocol. Accordingly, the generic content delivery architecture can provide additional functionality to the underlying transfer protocol, such as dynamic capability check, user confirmation, and content download notification.

    • The invention relates to a method, a system, network entities and computer program products for adapting digital rights management protected content for a receiving terminal. In the method protected content is sent from a sending terminal to a content sender network entity. The content sender network entity sends information identifying the receiving terminal and at least part of the protected content to a content issuer network entity. The content issuer network entity determines an appropriate form of the protected content for the receiving terminal and sends the determined appropriate form of the protected content or information identifying the appropriate form to the content sender network entity. The content sender network entity then sends the appropriate form of the protected content to the receiving terminal.

    • The invention relates to supporting a flexible use of encrypted media objects at an electronic device 10. The encrypted media objects are received at the device 10 in at least one data package. The data package includes in addition a non-editable playlist, which comprises a respective reference to at least one encrypted media object. Upon receipt of such a data package, a new, editable playlist is created. To this editable playlist, either at least one referenced encrypted media object in the at least one data package or a reference to a storage location of at least one referenced encrypted media object from the at least one data package in the electronic device 10 is added.
