摘要： Apparatus and methods for displaying types of information content based on the configuration of a media device are provided. The apparatus has a plurality of display panels flexibly coupled by one or more connectors. The display panels are flexibly coupled by the one or more connectors such that the display panels are capable of being arranged in a plurality of arrangements relative to one another. Each of the arrangements is indicative of a configuration of the device media. Each of the plurality of display panels has at least one viewing surface and is configured to display on the viewing surface a type of information content. The type of information content is indicative the configuration of the media device.

One aspect of the invention is a computer-implemented method (and corresponding system and computer program product) for inviting an entity to open an account at a billing and payment system, the method comprising: receiving from a first entity an instruction to invite a second entity to open an account at the payment system, the first entity having an account with the payment system; receiving from the first entity a security question and an answer to the security question to accompany the invitation; transmitting to the second entity the invitation along with the security question; receiving from the second entity an acceptance of the invitation along with an answer to the security question; verifying the acceptance by comparing the answer received from the second entity to the answer received from the first entity; responsive to the two answers match, determining the acceptance verified and opening an account for the second entity; and creating a link between the accounts of the two entities for the purpose of sharing invoice information, making electronic payments, transmitting remittance information, and maintaining basic information about the invitor and invitee.

摘要： Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable storage media for tone mapping High Dynamic Range (HDR) images. An input HDR image is separated into luminance and color. Luminance is processed to obtain a base layer and a detail layer. The base layer is compressed according to a non-linear remapping function to reduce the dynamic range, and the detail layer is adjusted. The layers are combined to generate output luminance, and the output luminance and color are combined to generate an output image. A base layer compression technique may be used that analyzes the details and compresses the base layer accordingly to provide space at the top of the intensity scale where the details are displayed to thus generate output images that are visually better than images generated using conventional techniques. User interface elements may be provided via which a user may control one or more parameters of the tone mapping method.

The devices may include a single semiconductor chip on which is imprinted a radio frequency signal tuner module and a display interface module. The display interface module may be configured to receive programming information from the radio frequency signal tuner module. The radio frequency tuner module may include a first radio frequency input channel and a second radio frequency input channel. The radio frequency signal tuner module may include a system oscillator and a phase-locked loop (“PLL”) circuit configured to generate a clock signal. The phase-locked loop circuit may be configured to transmit the signal to the display interface module and to any other suitable modules on the chip.
