    • A coated stabilized bleaching assistant suitable for use in pulverulent washing and bleaching compositions comprising drop-shaped to globular-shaped particles having an average diameter of 0.01 mm to 2.5 mm, and at least 70% of which have a diameter within the range of 0.1 mm to 1 mm consisting of 10% to 70% by weight of at least one activator for active oxygen derived from compounds yielding H.sub.2 O.sub.2 in aqueous solution, substantially surrounded by from 30% to 90% by weight of a mixture of (a) from 2 to 10 parts of substantially saturated fatty acids having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, (b) 1 part of aliphatic alcohols having 10 to 20 carbon atoms or their lower alkoxylated products having 1 to 5 alkoxy units, and (c) from 5 to 25% by weight of said mixture of water-soluble sulfates of aliphatic alcohols having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms or their lower alkoxylated products having 1 to 5 alkoxy units. The particles are obtained by spraying a fluid mixture of the components through a nozzle or by a spray disc, and cooling. The coated stabilized bleaching assistant can be incorporated with percompounds and other washing composition components.

    • The invention is a process for cleaning and disinfection of heat and corrosion sensitive medical instruments, particularly endoscopes in which the surfaces of the medical instruments are contacted with a detergent and disinfectant solution. The solution has a pH of from 6 to 8 and contains a low foaming nonionic surfactant, a proteolytic enzyme, a complexing agent, and an aldehyde selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde and aliphatic dialdehydes containing 2 to 8 carbon atoms and, optionally, other standard detergent and disinfectant constituents. The cleaning solution is heated to 55.degree. to 65.degree. C. and kept at that temperature for 1 to 15 minutes during contact with the surfaces of a medical instrument. The surfaces are rinsed at least twice with water, the water being heated to 55.degree. to 65.degree. C. at least in the last rinse cycle and the medical instruments are dried with sterilized hot air at a temperature of 40.degree. to 60.degree. C. Water having a hardness of 3.degree. to 8.degree. Gh is used.

    • In the cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes, the endoscope surfaces to be cleaned are successivelya) brought into contact with a cleaning solution which is heated to 55.degree. to 65.degree. C., kept at that temperature for 1 to 15 minutes and then drained off and which contains a low-foam nonionic surfactant, a proteolytic enzyme, at least one complexing agent and, optionally, other standard detergent constituents, and has a pH value of from 6 to 8;b) brought into contact with a disinfectant solution which is heated to 55.degree. to 65.degree. C., kept at that temperature for 1 to 15 minutes and then separated off and which contains an aldehyde selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde and aliphatic C.sub.2 -C.sub.8 dialdehydes and at least one complexing agent, and has a pH value of from 6 to 8;c) washed at least twice with water of which the pH value is adjusted to pH 6-8, the water being heated to 55.degree. to 65.degree. C. at least in the final wash cycle; andd) dried with sterilized hot air at 55.degree. to 65.degree. C.,water having a hardness of from 3.degree. to 8.degree. Gh being used in steps a) to c).
