摘要： The frequency conversion of an RF signal is performed by the "third method" using a suitable frequency reversal which makes the frequencies of the picture carrier, the chrominance subcarrier, and at least one sound carrier appear transformed into the baseband, such that the frequencies of the transformed picture carrier and the transformed chrominance subcarrier coincide. Unavoidable differences in the signal paths of the frequency reversal result in a spurious signal which produces a temporally/locally varying moire on the screen. By means of a frequency offset, this spurious signal is transformed into a frequency range which is not found annoying by the observer, so that the moire becomes invisible. This frequency range is preferably the exact center region between two spectral lines of the horizontal frequency of the composite color signal in the baseband.

摘要： A process is provided for coating a substrate by applying to a substrate an aqueous coating composition that comprises (a) an aqueous dispersion of a film forming polymer having a minimum film forming temperature not higher than 45.degree. C.; (b) a solid, particulate polymer having a softening temperature in the range of 45.degree. to 260.degree. C. and an average particle size in the range of 2 to 400 .mu.m and (c) a solid, rubberlike polymer having an average particule size in the range of 1 to 500 .mu.m, the resulting coating being cured at a temperature of 70.degree.-260.degree. C. The invention also relates to the liquid aqueous coating composition to be used in said process.

摘要： A process and apparatus for treating overspray from the spray application of waterborne coatings is provided, which includes at least an electrophoresis separation step (means) for recovering substantially all of solids and higher molecular weight water-soluble components and a second separation step (means) for recovering the remainder. The result of such treatment is a recyclable waterborne coating stream of substantially the same composition as the waterborne coating and a recyclable water stream containing substantially none of the resin or additive parts of the original waterborne coating. The process and apparatus are effective, efficient and relatively simple, and recycling is effected without the use of coagulants, detackifiers and other chemical additives which may complicate the recycling procedure and have a detrimental effect on the so recycled products.

摘要： A process is provided for applying a coating to a substrate by bringing the substrate into contact with a liquid aqueous coating composition comprising a solid powdered epoxy group-containing compound having a number average molecular weight of at least 1,000, an epoxy equivalent weight of 450-7,500 and an average particle size of 0.5-35 .mu.m, dispersed in an aqueous medium containing an ionized polyamino compound having primary or secondary groups, the ratio of the number of reactive groups of the polyamino compound to the number of epoxy groups of the epoxy compound being at least 0.4. The coating composition is applied to the substrate at a temperature of 5.degree.-65.degree. C. and the resulting coating layer is cured at a temperature of 70.degree.-220.degree. C. This invention also relates to the liquid aqueous coating composition to be used in said process.

摘要： A water-dilutable maleinized oil base coating composition is prepared by mixing from about 30 to about 95% by weight of water-dilutable maleinized oil with from about 5 to about 70% by weight of a solid particulate epoxy group- containing compound having a number average molecular weight of at least 1000 and an epoxy equivalent weight in the range of 450 to 7500, the average particle size being from about 0.5 to 35 .mu.m. The percentages by weight of the separate binder components are based on the total weight of the two components on a solvent free basis. The novel coating composition can be used to advantage for coating any substrate and particularly for coating automobile bodies. The invention also relates to a process for applying and baking said coating composition and to substrates thus obtained.
