    • A de-labeler made with easily available structural elements which cooperate to remove a normally non-removable label from a labeled surface of a casing for magnetic media, film, and the like, without using a solvent of any kind. The labeled surface is heated just enough to cause desired viscous deformation of a thin layer of adhesive, or a sufficient decrease of viscosity to loosen the label and enable it to be manually removed, preferably by adhesive failure of the thin adhesive layer. A typical pressure sensitive adhesive ("PSA") is heated to a temperature in the range from 32.degree. C.-65.degree. C., for an interval of time in the range from 5 to 30 seconds, in inverse relationship to the temperature at which the labeled surface is heated. The label is manually peeled away from the surface with a force in the range from 0.5 lb-force to about 10 lb-force, without distorting or otherwise damaging either the casing or the magnetic recording medium encased therein. A delabeler has a housing with a receptacle adapted to hold the diskette between opposed first and second heater boxes, one larger than the other, mounted in spaced-apart relationship, preferably so as to heat only the labeled area. Heating is controlled with a timer and a starting switch.

    • The vexing problem of post-urinary drip in males can be solved by providing a loop means removably disposed around the scrotum, the loop means being located above the testicles. The loop means is attached to a slotted sheath of polymeric material which sheaths the penis in its normal or "rest" (non-erect) position; the loop and sheath may each be formed, integrally or separably, from an urine-absorbent ("u-a" for brevity) film of hydrophilic synthetic resinous material; or, the loop and sheath may each be formed from a natural fabric such as cotton, or a non-absorbent synthetic resinous material in which sheath a u-a liner means, preferably of polymeric material such as a monoolefinically unsaturated carboxylic acid-containing polymer is removably held. The hydrophilic polymer is formed from a block copolymer of sequences of acrylonitrile and sequences of a major portion of glutarimide units; or, a film formed from sequences of acrylonitrile and sequences of a major portion of acrylamide units. The sheath has a longitudinal slot in its upper surface through which the penis may be unsheathed for use without the sheath being removed from the base of the penis. After urination, the penis is resheathed by insertion through the slot.

    • A lightweight protective garment is provided for skaters, skiers, and the like, to reduce the injury from a fall. The garment is worn over the torso primarily to cover the area of the lower back, upper back and arms. The fabric of the garment by itself has no impact protective function but serves simply to provide a base on which protective cushioning members are attached in such a way as to absorb a portion of the impact of a fall. The cushioning members are preferably in the form of resilient foamed plastic cylinders disposed exteriorly of the garment over selected areas of the body which are generally impacted most frequently such as the lower back, the trochanter region, the shoulders and the rear surfaces of the arms. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the cushoining members are removably affixed to the garment and a cover is provided over the cushioning members so that the garment appears to be conventional.
