摘要： Apparatus for the longitudinal cutting of narrow strips of web material such as paper, foil, and the like, by means of several circular knives wherein a flat annular spring presses each such knife against a portion of a hub on which each knife is seated. One spring and one knife are seated on each hub, and a spring on one hub bears against a knife on an adjacent hub. Each spring is resilient and capable of flexing so as to be positively seated in place on its respective hub.

摘要： An arrangement for adjusting and aligning one of a set of upper and lower circular cutting blades on a rotatable shaft includes the provision of at least two sets of guide rings having spherical mating surfaces located between the blades and the shaft. One set of rings surrounds the shaft and the other set supports the blades. Sleeves at opposite ends of the other set of rings bear thereagainst and position the blades in place, the sleeves being movable toward one another so as to shift the blades by substantially the same amount along the shaft as the sets of rings shift along their mating spherical surfaces, to thereby assure uniform angularity between the upper and lower blades.

摘要： The reciprocating guide channels of zigzag folding apparatus for folding webs of paper or other material, provided outwardly of the opposite side edges of the web, are operatively interconnected so as to be driven together. Both guide channels may be quickly and positively adjusted together as a unit to accommodate varying form widths. The cams provided for the guide channels at both sides of the web are shifted together upon a loosening thereof from their respective drive shafts. A positive adjusted position is assured by means of cooperating roughened surfaces at the joint between each cam and their respective drive shafts.
