摘要： Provided is a fishing reel in which damage of a fishing line at the time of drawing out of the fishing line against a drag force can be prevented, and moreover a load on a level wind device can be reduced. Consequently it is possible to improve engagement and sensitivity of the fishing line, and operability of the fishing reel. More specifically, the fishing reel includes a level wind device causing a fishing line guide to reciprocate in a left-right direction to guide a fishing line to the spool, and a drag device imparting a drag force on the fishing line. The fishing line guide includes a narrow guide portion and a wide opening, the fishing line is situated in the narrow guide portion when the fishing line is wound around the spool, and situated in the wide opening when the fishing line is released from the spool.

摘要： One object is to provide a double bearing reel that provides a comfortable grip feeling in fishing and prevents the cover plates from making a malfunction. A double bearing reel of the present invention includes: a reel body including left and right side plates, each of the left and right side plates including a frame and a cover plate; a spool rotatably supported between the left and right side plates; a handle provided on one of the left and right side plates and configured to rotationally drive the spool; and an opening/closing mechanism configured to enable the cover plate on an opposite side to the handle to be opened and closed on the associated frame. An opening is formed in a side surface of the cover plate on the opposite side to the handle, and an operation member of the opening/closing mechanism is disposed within the opening.

The body (60) is rotated forward and the section (60A) stands up in the vertical direction during the unwinding of the fishing line. The body is rotated rearward and the section (60A) falls down during the winding of the fishing line, so that a fishing line guide section (70) comes into contact with the fishing line (S) threaded through the fishing line threading section (60A).

摘要： One object is to provide a double bearing reel capable of visually and accurately determining a releasable state of an opening/closing mechanism for releasing a frame by cover plates, the opening/closing mechanism being prevented from causing tangling of a fishing line. The double bearing reel has an opening/closing mechanism for enabling a cover plate on an opposite side to a handle to be opened/closed with respect to a frame. Said opening/closing mechanism includes an operation member for switching between a releasable state where the frame is releasable by the cover plate and a closed locked state where the frame is closed by the cover plate and an indication portion for indicating the releasable state. In tandem with a switching operation, the indication portion is exposed outside of a side plate in the releasable state and retracted inside of the side plate in the closed locked state.
