摘要： An extracorporeal blood treatment apparatus is provided comprising a filtration unit (2) connected to a blood circuit (17) and to a dialysate circuit (32), a preparation device (9) for preparing and regulating the composition of the dialysis fluid; a control unit (12) is configured for setting a sodium concentration value for the dialysis fluid in the dialysis supply line (8) at a set point; the setting of the sodium concentration includes the sub-step of calculating the sodium concentration value as an algebraic sum of a main contribution term based on the blood plasma conductivity and of an adjustment contribution term based on a concentration of at least a substance in the dialysis fluid chosen in the group including bicarbonate, potassium, acetate, lactate, citrate, magnesium, calcium, sulphate, and phosphate.

The control unit (12) is configured to execute the following procedure: setting the hydraulic circuit (100) so that the fluid preparation device (9) bypasses the fluid chamber (4); controlling the fluid preparation device (9) to prepare the treatment fluid while bypassing the fluid chamber (4); and simultaneously controlling the blood pump (21) to perform pure ultrafiltration of a patient (P) connected to the extracorporeal blood circuit (17).

A control unit (10) is configured to calculate values of a parameter relating to treatment effectiveness based on measures of the conductivity in the spent dialysate line. An upstream variation of the value of the characteristic (Cdin) is caused in the fresh treatment liquid with respect to a prescription baseline (Cdset) thereby causing a corresponding and timely delayed downstream variation of the same characteristic (Cdout) in the spent liquid flowing in the spent dialysate line (13). An amplitude (ΔCin) and/or a duration over time (ΔT) of the upstream variation are/is computed as a function of the flow rate (Qdial) of the fresh treatment liquid in a preparation line (19) or of the parameter correlated to the flow rate (Qdial).
