摘要： Compositions containing a polymer of PTFE and a polymer capable of exhibiting an anisotropic melt characterized in that the compositions contain between 0.05 and 99.5% of PTFE and 0.5 to 99.95% by weight of the polymer capable of forming an anisotropic melt. The presence of a minor amount of the anisotropic melt-forming polymer, that is, from 0.5 to 50% by weight of the composition enables the processability of PTFE to be improved, even to the extent of providing an injection mouldable PTFE composition. Compositions containing 20 to 50% by weight of PTFE confer benefits on anisotropic melt-forming polymers, such as lubricity and greater versatility in fabrication operations. Concentration of 0.05 to 5.0% by weight of PTFE are particularly suitable for modifying the viscosity characteristics of the low melt viscosity anisotropic melt-forming polymers so that such anisotropic melt polymers are less subject to problems such as flashing and jetting during moulding.

Loss of reinforcement to the body tissues may be reduced by provision of polymer rich layer at the surface of the device, particularly in locations where reinforcement is exposed at the surface or is likely to be exposed due to tissue or other abrasion.

摘要： Coating compositions suitable for application to optical surfaces to reduce surface misting and light reflection without creating haze comprise:(a) an inorganic particulate component selected from colloidal silica particles, colloidal alumina particles, or a mixture thereof wherein the silica or alumina particles have a small particle size represented by an average particle size in the range 7 to 50 nm and the particles comprise 0.5 to 2.5% weight/volume of the total composition;(b) another inorganic particulate component also selected from colloidal silica particles, colloidal alumina particles, or a mixture thereof wherein the silica and alumina particles have a large particle size represented by an average particle size in the range 75 to 150 nm and the particles comprise 0.2 to 1.0% weight/volume of the total composition;(c) 0.1 to 1.0% weight/volume of a polymeric binder; and(d) a volatile liquid medium.The coating compositions provide especially beneficial properties when applied to thermoplastic films and sheets, such as polyethylene terephthalate films. Such films are suitable as coverings or claddings for horticultural growing houses, cold frames and cloches.
