    • A description is given of a sanitary article or object, particularly a hand-operated shower, having a changeover device (2) for controlling a liquid flow, the sanitary article having a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet, as well as an air suction device which can be turned on or off by operating the changeover device in the manner of a water jet pump. The changeover device is so constructed that a passage cross-section formed between the liquid inlet (6) and liquid outlet (7) can be widened on turning off the air suction device. For this purpose, in addition to the pump jet opening (38) of the air suction device, it is possible to open a ring channel-like, further passage cross-section (30) arranged concentrically thereto. Whereas with the air suction device turned on and limited water consumption it is possible to produce a highly aerated, soft-feeling water jet, with the air suction device turned off roughly twice the water quantity can be delivered in the form of a powerful water jet suitable for massaging purposes.

    • A connecting means for a water flow appliance, for example a hand shower, contains a connecting element connected to a water guide, for instance, a house water mains. Arranged in the connecting element is a sieve element which can be shifted between a sieve position, in which it acts a sieve, and a cleaning position in which it is possible to remove the particles retained in the sieve element. The sieve position is always assumed when a connection is made to the connecting means. When this connection is removed the sieve element can be translated into the cleaning position for example by water pressure. The water flow can be passed through said sieve element in the cleaning position preferably in the reverse direction so that said sieve element is back-washed.

    • A coupling means for connecting two water-handling parts, more particularly rigid or flexible tubular elements, comprises a nipple element, a bush element and a coupling element. The coupling element is arranged on the nipple element or the bush element and movable relative thereto. For assembling the coupling means the nipple element is introduced linearly into the bush element, the coupling element moving by itself into the release position against the force of a spring. As soon as the nipple element is completely inserted, the spring forces the coupling element into a latched position in which the coupling is completed. In this latched position the coupling element can be turned further for adjusting an additional means.
