摘要： A foot-operated control device system coupleable to a multi-function apparatus comprises a body for positioning on a floor surface and a mode switch manipulatable by the foot of an operator to switch the control device between a dedicated operational mode and an icon operational mode. An actuator is engageable by the operator's foot, and the system operates to actuate a dedicated function of the multi-function apparatus with the system in the dedicated operational mode. Another actuator operates to actuate another dedicated function when the system is in the dedicated operational mode. The one actuator is further operable to select a function of the apparatus when the system is in the icon mode and the other actuator is further operable to actuate the selected function whereby the multi-function apparatus may be selectively operated in the dedicated operational mode for some functions of the apparatus and in the icon operational mode for other functions at the discretion of the operator.

摘要： A medical fluid injector system (450) is disclosed that may utilize one or more of flow rate determination logic (130), injection volume determination logic (132), display control logic (134), drive ram motion control logic (136), and pressure monitoring logic (138). The flow rate determination logic (130), injection volume determination logic (132), and display control logic (134) each may utilize a concentration input (172, 192, 202) to calculate flow rates, injection volumes, and generate multi-color graphics, respectively, for a simultaneous injection configuration. The drive ram motion control logic (136) may utilize both a target pressure and a monitored pressure to derive a velocity for advancing a drive ram. The pressure monitoring logic (138) may provide a monitored pressure value for the drive ram control logic (136), where this monitored pressure value may be derived from the input power being used to advance a drive ram and the drive ram velocity.

摘要： A hand-held remote for a medical fluid injector includes a syringe and a conduit which may be coupled to a pressure transducer on a control circuit of the injector. Movement of a plunger within a syringe body on the syringe creates a pressure which is sensed by the pressure transducer and the control circuit responds to the sensed pressure by causing fluid to be ejected from, or drawn into, a syringe mounted to the injector. The pressure developed by the remote provides tactile feedback to an operator for improved control over injections.

摘要： A dual head contrast media injection system performs a patency check or test injection, determining flow rate and/or flow volume from the programmed protocol. The tubing that connects syringes to a patient shares only a short common section near to the patient. Appropriate injection steps are taken to compensate for tubing elasticity. A wireless remote control and a touch screen control are provided, improving functionality and information delivery. The display brightness is controlled based on the ambient light, and the display panel includes a double swivel permitting re-orientation. The orientation of the display may also be controlled based on, e.g., the current step, the tilt angle of the powerhead, or a manual control. Furthermore, the display is customizable to identify the type of fluid (contrast, saline, etc.) on either side of the injector, to provide matched color coding, and to provide a folder/tab analogy for retrieving injection protocol parameters.

The elongate polymer cap includes a cap shell that completely encloses a cap shielding element and the elongate polymer base includes a base shell that completely encloses a base shielding element. Preferably the polymer utilized for the cap shell and the base shell is polycarbonate resin, e.g., LEXAN®. An inner liner is not utilized and the cap shielding element and the base shielding element, which are preferably, but not necessarily, made of lead, are completely sealed and unexposed.
