    • In a service method by granting authorization before authentication, a service processing unit receives a service request that includes authentication information, and provides corresponding service. An authentication unit is used to authenticate the authentication information of the service request. A decision control unit is used to determine whether the service request calls for a service that allows pre-authorization. If affirmative, the decision control unit commands the service processing unit to first provide a partial service, simultaneously commands the authentication unit to authenticate the authentication information, and commands the service processing unit to further provide subsequent service upon successful authentication, and to stop the partial service and reject the service request if otherwise. Hence, under the condition that service security is not affected, authentication waiting time is shortened so as to achieve the effect of a faster response to providing service.

    • A crank structure for a bicycle pedal. A front outer thread of a cylindrical sleeve has a same rotary direction as an inner thread hole of the crank, and the rear outer thread has the opposite rotary direction to that of the front outer thread. The inner thread rotary direction of the cylindrical sleeve is the same as that of an outer thread of a bolt protruding from a pedal, and opposite edges of the two each has a hole, so that after the front outer thread of the cylindrical sleeve is secured to the thread of a threaded hole in the crank. A nut is used to lock the rear outer thread in order to limit the rotation. The bolt is locked into the inner thread of the hole of the cylindrical sleeve for the assembly in order to attain the effects of securely mounting and easily detaching the crank structure.

    • A method of evaluating and optimizing performance of a chiller system includes the following steps. Determine a number of activated chillers, a number of activated cooling towers, and the lowest outlet temperature of cooling water of a cooling tower as an operating settings. By developing evaluating models, sequentially determine a temperature of the cooling water entering the chillers, a total power consumption of chillers, a total power consumption of the cooling towers, and a total power consumption of pumping cooling water. Then, determine a total power consumption of the system by the sum of the total power consumption of the chillers, the total power consumption of the cooling towers, and the total power consumption of pumping cooling water. Through the above method, the system total power consumptions under different operating settings are evaluated, so as to determine an optimized operating setting to optimize the performance of the system.

    • A bicycle sprocket structure installs three pairs of embedding grooves at the periphery of an axle bushing of an axle base for installing brackets and latch members, and a plurality of latching points for latching the latch members are separated by 60 degrees. With the ratchets disposed on an internal side of the sprocket axle hole, the ratchet can be latched and linked with a pair of latch members in the shortest time, when a pedal is stepped clockwise to drive the sprocket to rotate clockwise after an idle run, so as to reduce the intermittent time and provide a smoother operation. Meanwhile, the number of latch members is increased, such that when the sprocket is latched and linked with the axle base, the remaining latch members constitute a multi-point contact support to enhance the stability of the operation and avoid damages to the related component due to a stress.

    • A service providing apparatus, a service consuming apparatus, and a service transmitting method are provided. The service providing apparatus is adapted to connect with the service consuming apparatus via a wireless network. Within a control channel period, the service providing apparatus schedules the services with the service consuming apparatus. Within a service channel period, the service providing apparatus provides a service resource to the service consuming apparatus according to the result of scheduling the services. If the service consuming apparatus does not send a service request signal to the service providing apparatus within the control channel period, the service consuming apparatus has to remain silent within the service control channel. By the arrangement, the problems caused from the characteristic of the link asymmetry of the wireless network can be solved.
